The property

Nestled beneath the impressive castle in the coastal town of Harlech, Gwynedd, Tan Llech is a picturesque getaway ideal for friends or families looking to make the most of the coast and countryside of Wales.

Be welcomed by the grey stone exterior of this charming abode and park off-road, entering through the stable door and unpacking with ease into an open-plan living space with vaulted ceilings.

Finding yourself in a light and airy social hub with contemporary décor and an opulent feel, recline in the sitting area and plan your itinerary for the week with a coffee in hand.

Here there is also a TV for movie nights, a dining table for four and a lovely kitchen area fitted with all of the necessities needed to rustle up a storm.

From the living area, patio doors open up onto a front patio with furniture, offering views across the park and towards the castle, an ideal spot for enjoying a tipple in the afternoon sunshine.

After a long day enjoying the local beach, freshen up in the contemporary shower room before settling down into either a beautifully presented master bedroom with built-in wardrobes or a delightful twin.

Harlech is home to a host of attractions, beginning with the Magnificent Harlech Castle itself, a great spot for enjoying the far-reaching seaside views and learning more about the local history and heritage.

Tan llech is situated on Woodlands Caravan Park; Woodlands Caravan Park is a small, select, family run park set in wonderful surroundings at the foot of Harlech Castle, built in c1290 and a designated World Heritage Site.

The park is beautifully maintained and landscaped, its grounds boasting an array of plants and flowers, natural woodland areas and a waterfall.

The park is briefly comprised of 32 owner occupied holiday homes, 3 holiday cottages and park owners’ accommodation.

Harlech is also home to a renowned golf course, so why not try out a game or two before making the most of the spectacular sandy beach?

Visit the incredible Italian-style village of Portmeirion where guests can stroll through the picturesque gardens and take in the intriguing architecture.

Further from the property you will find the town of Criccieth where there is a second castle and beach, and beyond that, the breath-taking scenery of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

Situated in a magnificent position between the mountains and the sea, the delightful small town of Harlech is dominated by its majestic 13th century castle. Harlech Castle is recognised as the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I and has World Heritage status. The town is very popular with golfers, who come to enjoy the famous Royal St. Davids course, whilst the beautiful sandy beach is wonderful for family fun and long walks. Harlech offers an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants, whilst the whole of the Snowdonia National Park, together with the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay, are all within easy reach.
