The property

Situated in acres of rolling countryside, on the outskirts of the small city of St Asaph, in North Wales, is this quirky country lodge.

Resting in the Vale of Clwyd, there are miles of open fields for couples to explore right from their doorstep!

The property itself is full of charm and character, with its wooden ceilings, antique furnishings and quirky wall ornaments making it a real treat for couples.

Look forward to returning to your little hideaway and relax in the studio-style open-plan living space.

Curl up on the provided armchairs and spend the evenings catching up with your favourite shows, in front of the woodburning stove.

Though small, the kitchen has been well-equipped with mostly everything you could need to cook up some delicious home-cooked meals, to enjoy over a sparkling glass of champagne.

Once the evening draws to a close, retire to the double bed and get some much needed rest for the day's ahead, this bed has been provided with tall people in mind, if you are over 6foot you needn't worry about having enough space.

The Gypsy is an excellent base for touring this rural area of North Wales with your partner.

The Pen Y Banc Shepherds Huts

The Pen Y Banc Shepherds Huts consists of four studio-style shepherds huts resting in the Vale of Clwyd in St Asaph, Denbighshire. This collection offers delightful pet-friendly, open-plan accommodation with TV with DVD players, well-equipped kitchens, private gardens with furniture for alfresco dining, and off-road parking, making it a lovely base for couples and families to retreat to. The surroundings enjoy a variety of sweet on-site animals including shire horses, goats and chickens, as well as rich, rolling countryside. If you don’t fancy cooking, head further into St Asaph, where you can treat your loved ones to a meal at The Plough Inn or the New Inn, both of which serve hearty pub fare in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. You can also enjoy walks along the River Elwy, a visit to St Asaph Cathedral and perusing art at Myrtle House Gift Gallery. Within easy reach is the market town of Denbigh, home to Denbigh Castle, Denbigh Friary, Cae Dai 50’s Museum and Denbigh Golf Club. St Asaph, though small, was awarded city status in 2012, even though it boasts a population of little over 3500 occupants. Lying in the Vale of Clwyd, six miles between Denbigh and the coastal town of Rhyl, in North Wales, St Asaph enjoys a strategic location overlooking the rivers Clwyd and Elwy. The city offers delightful riverside parkland and a children’s play area with picturesque river walks where you may see kingfishers, sparrow hawks and buzzards. St Asaph is home to a historic cathedral, dating back 1400 years in areas and holding the reputation of being the smallest, ancient cathedral in Britain. It is also renowned as the location where the Bible was translated into Welsh in the 16th century. In September, the city comes alive with the arrival of the North Wales International Music festival, which takes place across numerous locations, culminating for the last few years in a television finale, broadcast from the cathedral. St Asaph offers numerous amenities and activities, from traditional pubs, to gastronomic dining experiences, numerous craft and gift shops and local clubs offering a 9-hole golf course, horse riding, angling, and crown green bowling, as well as a thriving leisure centre and the Tweedmill Retail Outlet.
