“The cottage is very comfortable (and the location very convenient for anywhere in Snowdonia/Eryri).”

We had a very enjoyable time. I would point out 1) The description needs updating. It mentions soaking in a bath but that's been taken out and replaced with a walk in shower. This was mentioned in one of the responses to an earlier comment and is visible on the photos if you go through them all, (two of the three of us preferred the shower anyway) but it would have come as shock if you hadn't done that. 2) A more important point, although it didn't affect us much at the new years week, was ...

We had a very enjoyable time. I would point out 1) The description needs updating. It mentions soaking in a bath but that's been taken out and replaced with a walk in shower. This was mentioned in one of the responses to an earlier comment and is visible on the photos if you go through them all, (two of the three of us preferred the shower anyway) but it would have come as shock if you hadn't done that. 2) A more important point, although it didn't affect us much at the new years week, was the sky lights in the bedroom which together with the light curtains that so many rental properties have (looks better on the photos I suppose) would make sleep very difficult later in the year with light streaming in late at night and early in the morning. There needs to be some blinds/curtains whatever. 3) The under cabinet lights in the kitchen need new batteries. None of them worked and the two ceiling lights with their dark shades makes the beautiful kitchen gloomier than it could be. 4) On the first two nights there were very high winds and in the front bedroom there was a Rattling sound through the night. I assumed it was the window but on looking the next morning the sound was coming above the ceiling and window. There must be something loose in/under the roof. It was no problem the next nights when the wind had died down but would be worth a look. 5) The bedroom drawers and cupboard handle hadn't been screwed in properly 3 or 4 of them came off and had to be screwed back in.

“This is a spacious and well equipped cottage.”

It is clean, warm and comfortable. We have visited it before and would happily recommend it to our friends. The TV reception is not great but we did not use it much. There were no problems with the WiFi which we needed to book tickets on the Ffestiniog railway. Thanks to the bypass, Dublin Street is very quiet, all the facilities you could possibly need are close-by. The Pencai on Porthmadog Harbour has become a firm favourite. The chippy in Tremadog is the best in the area according to local people.

“Hi Steve, We had a fantastic time at Weavers cottage, the location is perfect for visiting other places and has good facilities just around the corner with places to eat, drink, a spar and superb local fish & chip shop.”

( highly recommended) Bedrooms were a decent size, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. The back bedroom with the double and single bed was ideal. We found the front room very cosy and the log fire was superb at night, easy to light and clean out in the morning. The logs left to use were well received. The kitchen was brilliant for us as a family given its size and space, and we spent plenty of time around the dining table playing games, the option of the little seating area outside of the back door was a lovely idea for when the weather permits you to be able to sit out, morning or evening. Overall we would certainly recommend the Weavers cottage to couples of all ages and family’s alike. Superb week’s holiday. Regards, Steve

“We stayed at this lovely cottage for a long weekend.”

It’s in a great location for local walks and a short drive to many places of interest such as Snowdonia, Porthmadog and Portmeirion. The cottage itself is very tastefully decorated and equipped with all you need for your stay. The log burner in the lounge makes it feel very cosy and the ability to park immediately outside is another bonus. We will definitely bring our golf clubs the next time we stay to play the nearby Porthmadog golf course which looked lovely. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will certainly be returning

“The cottage is lovely very quaint and equipped well .”

I tried to email but it got rejected, just a few things really let the house down , a cracked glass , a chipped tea plate , batteries need changing in the remote and the towels need replacing. We never lit the fire although it would have been nice . You may like to check the beds as the were pieces of timber lying on the floor .

Hi Tracy, unfortunately plates and cups do get broken from time to time and we do replace them accordingly. There are spare batteries in the cupboard in the kitchen. The towels are changed after every guest has left and the cottage is cleaned. We have recently installed a brand new mattress and a new leather suite is being installed shortly. Property Owner

“The beds are so uncomfortable that we didn't stay the 3rd night and actually went to my mum's as her guests had left.”

It was cold when we arrived as only the towel rail was on so we had to turn all the radiators on as the weather was bad this weekend and wait for it to warm up. The kitchen could do with a blind more for privacy then anything else as it's right on the alleyway. The seal on the bottom of shower glass needs replacing as I realised half way through my shower water was going all over the floor and you could see this was not the first time it has happened. Internet was rubbish with a note to say it's because it's rural yet my mum doesn't have the same issues. Netflix wouldn't work on the TV, so glad it was only a base for us and we spent most of our time somewhere else. The towels are tiny and all smelt musty, it could also do with a hand towel. The book asks you to wash up before you leave but there wasn't any washing up liquid just a manky wire scrubbing thing so we left what we had used in the sink which was a couple of mugs and small plates. It's in a great location for us being a few minutes walk to our family and The Union Inn but I wouldn't rebook it or recommend to other family members.

Thanks Sophie. Sorry your stay was somewhat spoiled. With regards to the heating I’m not quite sure what happened as we have a Hive system that monitors the temperature, and there is a boost facility for guests comfort. The beds are the beds! The previous guests commented that they were comfortable! They are relatively new and we don’t have any issues when we stay. Similarly we have BT wifi and it works fine for us. Property Owner

Beds were comfortable and we slept very well! Parking wasn’t a problem (the building opposite is empty with ample parking out front to use). Our only problem was we were only staying for a long weekend and wished we’d had longer

“We did have trouble with the tv working consistently and had to have someone come to rectify it.”

They came quickly but it would have been good to have Netflix set up FOC (we dont have it) or dvds as a back up for days when the weather was dreadful and affected the tv signal. It would also be helpful to know there is only a tiny freezer in the fridge so don't pack frozen food for a longer hols I day.

“Stayed here over Xmas and a lovely cottage.”

Unfortunately we had a few issues upon arrival. No heating and very cold. Had to call Sykes because no contact nos that were provided worked. They were quick at resolving the issue and from then on the house was warm. It would have helped to have had some sort of window blinds in the kitchen for privacy as this made the room rather cold. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and didn't feel very sturdy, and the tv stopped working on the normal chanel's but we just watched catch-up so no big deal. We were worried about on street parking but we found it to not be an issue. Great location for exploring the areas. The union inn does great food and nice and welcoming. It was great to have a shop and chippie within walking distance as well. Would recommend the cottage for location but not for comfort. If the issues raised were sorted out then would easily be a 10 out of 10.

We have installed a remote device (Hive) to ensure that the cottage is warm upon guests arrival. The beds we find very comfortable but everyone is different I suppose. The beds at the Travelodge down the road maybe more to some people's liking and maybe not others. They would also start at £150 a night! I'm not sure that a window blind would make the kitchen less cold, it would stop sunlight so probably would make it colder if anything! Anyway we like to see the world go by so won't be installing a blind. The TV signal is a bit ropey at times out in rural Welsh countryside but usually comes back on. We have wifi so plenty of channels are available Netflix etc. all in all I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the feedback. Property Owner

we liked it here and enjoyed stopping here. A cafetiere would be useful and a radio in the kitchen nice. We love this location, Tremadog has a lot to recommend it. The chippy is excellent, The Golden Fleece serves top quality traditional pub food, including breakfast, and great real ale. The shop was really handy. We also ate at The Union and the food was good. It is a pleasant traditional pub and the regulars were most friendly as were the staff. Ideal for a relaxing drink.

“This is a fantastic little base for our family.”

We had a really lovely and relaxing holiday exploring Wales. We really enjoyed the walkway from Tremadog to near the station, that may be a good one to highlight in the brochure (+ the cut through from near the leisure centre to Aldi/Lidl). This meant as a family we could pick up bits for tea or picnics without bringing out the car & let our toddler scoot or bike along with us!

“We had a fantastic holiday.”

The cottage was just perfect for our needs. The kitchen was well equiped, the floors were easily cleaned, which is great when you have children and a dog who love the beach! The beds and couch were comfortable and netflicks kept my grandchildren happy while I cooked dinner. The woodland walks just behind the property made it the perfect place to stay.

We have had two subsequent bookings without any complaints. We have also have had two cleans and, again, our cleaner confirms that there is no evidence of any ants at all. I suppose everybody has different tastes with regards to what is a comfortable chair. I'm 6'2" and find it perfectly adequate. Sorry you didn't seem to enjoy yourself, fortunately we love it there and so do most of our friends and guests. Property Owner

“This cottage exceeded our expectations.”

It was bigger than we expected, very comfortable and clean inside and the location made an excellent base for exploring Snowdonia - providing good access to all the different areas as well as offering a good range of shorter, local trips. Tremadog is a lovely little village too with access to good walks and a nice little pub as well as a Spar shop and beautiful mountain views. Tesco is only 5 minutes away for fuel and food which is very handy.

“Weaver's cottage is an excellent choice and served us well.”

The house is well appointed, roomy and comfortable. It is also well located for trips out to Snowdon and further afield. Tremadog is a small and quiet town which has a bit of everything: There is a small Spar shop very close, two pubs and a restaurant, fish and chips and local woods for dog walking; Mount Snowdon is 30 minutes away by car. We hope to go back soon.
