    “Cottage was lovely , shame there was no fire wood provided since a feature was the open fire, so had to go spending another £20 on wood.”

An early 19th century, stone-built end-of-terrace cottage, in the pretty Welsh village of Trawsfynydd, in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.

This captivating cottage retains a wealth of character, from its oak beams and exposed stone walls, to its Welsh slate and quarry tiles and old inglenook fireplace, you can be sure to find wonder around every corner of this cottage.

Holding quirk and character, this property is ideal to explore this scenic area of North Wales.

Enjoy gathering together in the evenings within the sitting room, cosied up amongst the warming woodburning stove, creating a charming and cosy atmosphere.

The sitting room also hosts a dining area fit for the whole group to dine together, play board games or simply enjoy each other’s company.

TRAWSFYNYDD

Porthmadog 12 miles; Dolgellau 13 miles; Harlech 14 miles.

This traditional Welsh village lies in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, and is surrounded by the Rhinog, Moelwyn and Arenig mountains. The impressive Trawsfynydd Lake, which is only a short walk from the village, is renowned for its fishing and offers a recently completed walking and cycling route around the entire lake. The village itself boasts a small variety of shops. This area is a mecca for outdoor activities including excellent water sports, climbing, walking, fishing, golf and mountain biking. The beautiful beaches at Black Rock Sands, Harlech and Barmouth are close by, as are the bustling towns of Dolgellau and Porthmadog. Visit castles, narrow gauge railways, slate and copper mines and the famous Portmeirion Italianate Village.
