The property

Wonderful, ever changing estuary and harbour views, close to two narrow gauge steam railways, is the perfect base for the steam train enthusiast.

Located in the harbour town of Porthmadog, close to the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park in North Wales you will find this homely terraced cottage which provides a great base for a couple, friends or a small family.

Arranged over two floors this lovely cottage has an upside down layout with 2 bedrooms on the ground floor.

One is a double and the other has a single bed.

The bathroom is also located on the ground floor.

Upstairs is light, bright open plan living space, encompassing a sitting area, dining space and kitchen area.

The sitting area offers comfortable seating, TV with FreeView and full length sliding patio doors open to a glazed balcony where you can sit and enjoy the fresh air with the estuary and harbour views.

The kitchen area has all you could need and the dining area and table seats three people and is a great place for a spot of breakfast before a day of exploring!

There is also off road parking for one car.

With the harbour, Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland steam railways and town all on your doorstep and the beach and village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, just a short walk away makes this charming holiday home makes a perfect place to stay.

The historic seaside port of Porthmadog offers craft and souvenir shops, excellent restaurants, tea rooms and inns.

Slightly further away is the famous Black Rock Sands beach.

Surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Snowdonia National Park and the North Wales coastline, there are a number of attractions nearby, including wonderful Portmeirion, the Llyn Peninsula, Zip World in Llanberis and Blaenau Ffestiniog, Bounce Below also at Blaenau Ffestiniog and Antur Stiniogs downhill mountain bike centre at Llechwedd.

This cottage makes a wonderful holiday home all year round.

The bustling harbour town of Porthmadog lies on the Glaslyn Estuary and enjoys a stunning setting. The gateway to the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, Porthmadog is full of individual shops and restaurants, and home to the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland railway where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery, to Blaenau Ffestiniog or Caerforn . The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short walk or drive from the town. The well known and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast. Situated on a rugged clifftop on its own private peninsula, Portmeirion, famous as the location of the TV show The Prisoner and the final episode of Cold Feet, is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and woodlands.
