Trearddur Bay 1.7 miles.
In a superb coastal location, 200 yards from the award-winning Porth Dafarch Blue Flag beach, on the south western coast of picturesque Anglesey, is this delightful end-terrace cottage, offering the perfect base for a family looking for adventure activities on the doorstep.
The cottage is very well equipped and decorated with coastal charm and style throughout, and is set in large communal lawns with undisturbed country views along the coast.
As soon as you enter you will see the attention to detail that the owners have added, with a fitted kitchen, which has a dishwasher, slow cooker and coffee maker, along with a character Welsh dresser.
The kitchen opens into a welcoming and stylish sitting room with extending dining table, furnished with a comfy three-seater sofa and snuggle chair located in front of the atmospheric free-standing woodburning stove, where you will want to curl up with a good book and your favourite drink and relax into the evening with the family around you.
The master bedroom is on the ground floor opposite the family bathroom, whilst the first floor has been cleverly converted to offer a family room with three single beds, which is somewhere the children will want to make their own, with their own TV away from the adults.
Outside this lovely cottage is a shared gravelled parking area with seven other cottages, and there are communal lawns to the front, whilst to the rear there’s an open communal barn with covered storage facilities for bikes if required.
A National Trust beach is less than two minutes’ walk and can be seen from the cottage; it has been voted by The Times as one of the best in the UK and offers a sheltered cove and sandy shores, with intriguing rock pools and craggy headlands.
There is a launching slipway for dinghies and canoes and the beach is popular with scuba divers exploring nearby wrecks, including the famous Missouri Steamer, which sunk in 1886.
With the Anglesey Coastal Path passing right by the bay, you can walk along the coast into popular Trearddur Bay for a spot of lunch at one of the many excellent restaurants before meandering back to this delightful coastal cottage.
