“This is a lovely, well-presented property with all our family of 4 needed for a week in August.”

It's such a nice relaxing space with ever-changing views out towards Snowdonia. It's a pleasant 20 minute walk to the beach, or you can hike around the forest, both of which are unspoilt even though there's a good sized car park with facilities down at the other end of the beach. Bethan our host was friendly and quick to respond when we had questions. I can see that the two cabins would make a great booking for two families and there is lots of outside space for younger children to play.

The property

Galwad Y Mor is a lovely, detached cabin located on the outskirts of Newborough on the Isle of Anglesey.

It is the closest property to Newborough Forest and Llanddwyn Beach, two picture-perfect areas known for their scenery and wildlife.

Galwad Y Mor is a fantastic option for a party or family of six, as it has a fantastic position in the Newborough Forest and is close to the seaside.

The cabin is situated in a very rural location, has amazing views of Snowdonia and has outdoor furniture and wood-burning stove, making it ideal for an evening meal with a view.

Inside, you'll find a stylish, open-concept living area with plenty of sumptuous seating, perfect for sharing stories over a glass of wine, and a fully-equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing tasty meals for six people to enjoy at the dining table.

Keep going to reach the contemporary bathroom, where you can relax in the bath or freshen up under the overhead shower.

When it’s time for bed, choose from three beautifully appointed bedrooms: a king-size with en-suite shower room, and two twin bedrooms.

There is a local convenience shop in the village as well as great fish and chips at The Codmother, you can tour the Anglesey Transport Museum and Café, and spot local wildlife in the Llyn Parc Mawr Community Woodland.

Maintained by the Forestry Commission, Newborough Forest is a red squirrel sanctuary, with an abundance of species to discover; perfect for cycling, walking or running, the forest also acts as a gateway to the beach and the Anglesey coastal path.

Traeth Llanddwyn, located on the outskirts of Newborough Forest, is a great place to spend the day at the beach while taking in the stunning scenery of Snowdonia.

Anglesey Sea Zoo and Bodowyr Burial Chamber, two local hotspots, may be found just on the outskirts of the village.

Llanfairpwllgwyngyll comes up next, where there are numerous attractions to see, including the renowned Plas Newydd House and Gardens, the National Trust Caeau Glan-y-mor, the breath-taking scenery along the Pont Britannia Lions & Coastal Path, and the fun and educational Pili Palas Nature World.

Travel across the Menai Bridge and visit Bangor, home to the National Trust's Penrhyn Castle & Garden, a Roman Camp, and the Spinnies Aberogwen North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve.

Get away from it all at Galwad Y Mor.
