“We celebrated new year at the Arwel with our 3 children (20, 11 & 8) and our dog.”

It was a last minute booking so didn’t have time to do much research but the Arwel turned out to be perfect. It was spotlessly clean, plenty of space for us all and it had a really lovely, cosy feel to the place. We had a gorgeous New Year’s Day walk to the beach and we stopped off at the local (dog friendly) pub which was great too. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Arwel and will probably return to it ourselves at some point.

“We’ve just returned from a fabulous 3 day break at Arwel.”

The cottage is just beautiful, finished to a very high standard. There is everything that you would need for a comfortable, peaceful and enjoyable stay. The log burner was the icing on the cake, especially enjoyed by our little dog Ned! Communication with the lovely owner and her team was exceptional, and the bottle of bubbly and chocs on arrival were very much appreciated. The cottage is short walk from the beautiful beach, shops for essentials and a lovely community pub (doggy friendly). We wished we could have stayed longer, it was just what was needed after a hectic Christmas. I would imagine staying here in the summer would be great too, as there’s a lovely secure garden with furniture to use. We would love to return to Arwel at some point in future and look forward to doing so!

The walk along the headland to the Ty Coch Inn was spectacular and the house was welcoming and cosy to come back to. The house itself is clean, beautifully furnished and well equipped if you are planning on catering for yourselves. If you are looking for a cosy getaway in North Wales, I would thoroughly recommend Arwel.

“Just returned home from a week at Arwel, a wonderful cottage with a well equipped kitchen and lovely lounge with a great log burner and a nice little secure garden at the back to let the dog out, (I can imagine it being a nice sun trap in the summer months) Three bedrooms upstairs all with comfortable beds, we were really lucky with the weather for late October so had some excellent walks on the beaches and coastal paths that the beautiful Llyn peninsula has to offer (the Tin Man walk from Llanbedrog is a must with fantastic views of Snowdonia and Cardigan Bay on a clear day) a shop and pub 2 minute walk away and also Cwrw Llyn brewery a 10 minute walk away which has it's own bar, well worth a visit for real ale fans.”

All in all a lovely place to spend a week, the owner lives locally and is more than happy to advise on things to do. Thank you Jane.

“We had a wonderful week at Arwel.”

The cottage was spotlessly clean and was equipped with everything we needed and more. The kitchen and bathroom felt brand new and the living room was super cozy to relax in after a day of exploring. The bed was honestly the comfiest we have ever slept in. The garden was perfect for our large dogs to play in although they were often too exhausted after the beautiful walks nearby. The beach nearby is 5-10 minute walk and especially lovely to watch the sunset on as it was often just us! The neighbours were lovely and gave us plenty of recommendations. Jane kept in contact throughout and gave us lots of suggestions of places to visit and eat. All in all a lovely cottage in a great location, if we ever revisit the area we would 100% return here. “We had a lovely stay at Arwel.”

The house is very comfortable, with a lovely new bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you might need. The garden is a great size and the walk to the beach is right outside the front door. The location is lovely, if a little quiet. The beach cafe / shop is fantastic. The Spar in Nefyn is excellent, and there is also a Premier a little closer to the house. The only negative I would say is that there weren't that many places to go out to eat very nearby, but if you drive a little there are plenty of options. We found some places fully booked, especially for Sunday lunch, so it is worth booking some tables before you arrive. Jane, the owner, was happy to share local tips and was very helpful throughout our stay. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

“We’ve just returned from an idyllic week long stay at Arwel.”

The accommodation was perfect to our needs and was tastefully decorated, comfortable and really was a ‘home from home’. The location is ideal for exploring Pen Llyn (Lleyn Peninsula). We were fortunate enough to enjoy glorious weather for the duration of our stay which allowed us to visit many of the beautiful nearby villages. The owner Jane kept in contact throughout our stay to ensure that we were settled and had everything we needed. This was very much appreciated. “Another fabulous holiday at Arwel.”

This cottage is stunning. The decor is superb with all the home comforts you could wish for and a lovely fully enclosed garden which our dog loved. Lovely walk to the beach. There are plenty of places to explore locally and great food. We met the owner and her partner, both of whom are very friendly and keen that their guests have a wonderful time. “We had a wonderful week here March.”

The cottage is beautiful and so cosey, with everything you need for inside and out...the kitchen and bathroom are excellent. The garden is secure for dogs and has a wonderful view. Set in a perfect location, 10 minute walk to the sea and coastal path, within easy driving distance of lots of other places to visit. We're familiar with this area and it really is in just the right spot. The owner, Jane was very welcoming and helpful, with suggestions for things we could do and see at this time of year. We're now looking forward to staying here again later in the year, assuming it's not fully booked! Just a perfect week in a perfect cottage.

“Perfect place for a holiday to relax and chill.”

We had a fabulous holiday at Arwel in Nefyn,the cottage was warm and cosy and very clean, excellent combination of old and new, lovely old fashioned living room with wooden beams and a wonderful log burner with A very modern Kitchen diner and fantastic bathroom with a brilliant shower, bed was very comfortable and we all had a great sleep after exploring the beautiful beaches and great walks in the area, wonderful safe and enclosed garden which our dog loved playing in.Jane the owner which we had pleasure of meeting is a very warm and welcoming owner who is only a text away and very happy to help with useful information.local people in the village are very friendly and happy to chat.local beach in Nefyn well worth a visit also Pwllheli and Aberdaron beautiful beaches that our dog loved.we would definitely recommend this cottage as we had a fantastic time and are already planning to visit again next year, thanks again to you Jane

The location was also perfect as it was close to the coastal path and we were also in the ideal location to explore the rest of the Llyn Peninsula. “We had a lovely stay in Arwel, which is very well appointed and comfortable.”

Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, who was on hand and attentive to our needs. We especially liked the kitchen and dining area which was perfect for our Christmas dinner and the lounge area was especially cosy with the log burner. A fabulous beach is less than ten minutes walk away and there’s plenty of lovely places to visit within a short driving distance, including the iconic Ty Coch Inn at Morgan Nefyn. Overall perfect for us and the dog!

“We have just stayed for a week at Arwel.”

The past two years we have stayed near Abersoch but we fancied I change, and we are so glad we did. The cottage itself had everything you need, clean and very comfortable. We had a quick question about the kitchen/ bathroom tap and the owner came back very quickly. We enjoyed some lovely walks along the coastal path. Visited the community pub which we highly recommend. Also the Tap Room at the brewery, well worth a visit nice atmosphere. Both dog friendly so massive tick for us. Visited a lot of beaches , this time of year our dog friendly. On our last day we went to the pub Y Bryncynan, again dog friendly. The staff and food were very good. The walk to the Ty Coch Inn is a must just check the tide times and opening times. We would definitely be going back to Arwel.

The cottage is very clean, comfortable and cosy. It is situated in a quiet location and has a fantastic garden for adults and the dogs. The location is superb for exploring local beaches, with some fantastic walks nearby. Would benefit from a nice armchair situated in the bay window, however this is our second visit and will not be our last.

“Arwel is a cosy, comfortable, beautifully designed/decorated cottage.”

Parking on the no through lane outside is no problem. The enclosed rear garden is great. Nefyn beach is within walking distance, as are 2 excellent village shops. Nefyn is also handy for coastal path walks, Abersoch, Criccieth (eat at Dylans!), Portmerrion and a bit further afield to Angelsey. A fabulous holiday in a fabulous cottage, fully recommended. “What a fantastic cottage.”

We were impressed by the high quality of the refurbishment; the owners have obviously not skimped on the costs. The lounge is comfortable with two huge settees, there's a modern bathroom with a fantastic shower, and a new kitchen/diner. The cottage was spotlessly clean and superbly decorated. The seaside theme is subtle (I love the rope lamps) and is continued upstairs. The beds are very comfortable so we slept well. Outside there's a large fully enclosed garden which our dog loved playing in. Despite being close to the village/town centre, the cottage is very quiet. All things considered, this is the best cottage we have stayed in and all being well, we will be back. Nefyn is a lovely place with a fantastic beach in a small bay. The cottage is a 5-minute walk from the beach. The Llyn peninsula is breathtaking. There's so much to see and do that we regretted not booking for longer. We were spoiled with stunning weather which was a bonus. We would highly recommend staying at Arwel. It is a fantastic cottage in a beautiful setting.

“What a fantastic holiday home.”

We stayed as a group of 4 persons and 2 dogs and the cottage was perfect for our needs. Clean, comfortable and relaxing with a lovely garden to sit in, felt like home from home. Nefyn has great amenities such as Local Shop, Community Pub, Caffi Ni and an Indian Restaurant / takeaway all within walking distance. Opposite the cottage is a small path which takes you to an excellent beach and cafe. Ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Wales, we are looking forward to returning to Arwel Cottage.

Great property , well equipped and dog friendly. Beach was lovely and safe , not crowded like some more well known ones. Actually got a couple of swims in and the kids had a whale of a time. Was lucky enough to bump in to Jane , the owner. She was lovely and obviously cares a great deal about Arwel and that people enjoy their stays. She leaves you to it generally which works great. “Arwel is one of the best cottages we have stayed in, really clean and comfortable and everything you needed.”

The kitchen was very well equipped and garden was fab. We had such a relaxing break. There is a short walk to the beach right opposite the cottage and the walk along the headland to the Ty Coch Inn is breathtaking. Need to mention the Community Bar, lovely pub with friendly staff, there is live music at the weekend which we missed but will defo go next time. Thank you for a lovely stay.

“We had a great stay, was perfect for our family if 4 with 2 children and small four legged friend.”

Not far to shop and Indian restaurant .. beach about 15 minute walk but watch out for steep hill en route back .. didn’t find the pub but was told it wasn’t far past the shop … cottage had everything needed kitchen utensils garden furniture etc parking outside up the lane a bit no issues beds and settees were very comfy and interior design of house was lovely.. wouldn’t hesitate to rebook thanks

“We had a wonderful stay at Arwel Cottage.”

It is beautifully renovated and really well equipped. Everything was really clean and tidy when we arrived too. The cottage is a short walk to the beach at Nefyn which is really scenic with the mountains in the background. You can also walk out the door and climb up Gard Boduan which is a small hill in the area with beautiful views. It’s in a really nice location, and a short drive to some beautiful beaches on the Llyn Peninsula. We’d definitely recommend here and I’m sure we’ll be back - thanks for having us!

“We had a wonderful stay ay Arwel.”

The place has everything you'd want and need for a perfect stay. Arwel is cosy and warm and spacious , our 2 dogs loved the secured garden. The finishing touches are superb and the kitchen diner perfect too and walk in shower just lovely. Cannot fault it. Beds were so comfortable and slept well each night. we felt very spoilt indeed. Thank you so much we will definitely be back.

Pwllheli 7 miles; Snowdonia 25 miles.

The pretty coastal town of Nefyn sits atop sweeping cliffs on the north coast of the Llyn Peninsula, and features a fine two mile stretch of sandy beach, popular with families. The town offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and is within reach of the amenities of the popular towns of Pwllheli and Abersoch. The coastline around this region is dotted with castles and coves, while fishing, sailing and water sports are all available. The Snowdonia National Park is 25 miles away, with its dramatic scenery and abundance of superb walks. With its proximity to such a wide range of destinations, Nefyn makes a superb base for a break.
