    “This is a lovely well equipped, clean and cosy cottage in a beautiful and quiet forest location, but not too far from the local towns and villages.”

    It is perfectly located for visiting all of the main resorts and attractions within the Snowdonia area and the coast. The nearest place, for pubs, shops and restaurants is llanrwst, which is an easy 15 mins downhill walk from the cottage. Betws-Y-Coed is also easily reached on foot by a variety of good forest trails. Further afield, the seaside resort of llandudo is only a 40 mins drive away. The owners, Kathleen and Adrian, are so friendly and very helpful. This is one of the best ...

The property

Llanrwst 1 mile; Betws-y-Coed 3 miles. A superb, detached stone-built cottage situated in a truly idyllic woodland position on the edge of the Gwydir Forest and only 300 yards from Gwydir Castle, within the Snowdonia National Park.

The property enjoys over three hundred years of history and retains many original features including two foot thick stone walls, inglenook fireplaces and beamed ceilings.

More recently it has been sympathetically modernised to an exceptionally high standard and offers every modern comfort.

Visitors will also enjoy the sunny garden and the sound of nearby waterfalls.

Betws-y-Coed, with its many amenities, is three miles away.

Betws-y-Coed, known as the Gateway to Snowdonia, is North Wales' most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm.
