“We enjoyed our stay in Oak Cottage as a base for exploring quite a wide area as we wanted to visit Bardsey Island, Anglesey and Snowdonia all of which were easily accessible.”
The cottage was clean, homely and well presented. We were greeted by the owner and had a very welcoming reception. As a previous review mentioned, the shower is not great! It sprays water where the hose meets the head and as there is no bath, this is the only means of washing but we did get used to it and mentioned it in the Visitor's Book as requiring attention. The cottage is set in a very peaceful location which makes it a nice retreat at the end of a busy day. We were not desperately impressed with Pwllheli itself, apart from the Asda which is handy, but there are other locations nearby like Criccieth which are good for eating out.
