“The place is very nice.”

Amazing location. We had a great time. The only negative are the bed bugs. Some of our guests have come back with massive bites. I think it’s limited to one specific room. This needs to be rectified.

Thank you for your feedback. If you would like to let us know which room you think there is a problem with we will look into it. However we have had groups staying before and after your stay, without any such issues. If you had left a window open at this time of year midges may well have come in, and been the problem. . Bedding and toilets are very good .. easy to reachable Negative- No shops near .. Dish washer and Hotplate was not working.. No TV in downstairs Need a rest room Downstairs

“On arriving one of the main rooms which we required was locked.”

After calling the owner he explained they only arranged the amount of beds we booked for. I explained although certain beds were booked some families preferred to stay in separate rooms. He agreed on opening the room but did not supply any bedding. I explained we are happy to have put the bedding on ourselves but he said it was too ‘costly’. I thought this was ludicrous considering we paid almost £6000 for a holiday- it was not made clear on booking that only the amount of rooms used would be unlocked/bed sheets provided. In large groups sometimes more people decide to come and some drop out. The second issue was that there limited supplies of toilet roll and it was very much a nuisance having to remove our own bedding, emptying bins and cleaning the whole place prior to leaving to the standard in which it was prior to us attending. Most of our trip we were concerned about having our deposit taken and therefore it sucked the fun out of our trip. Especially being the organizer it was extremely stressful. The BBQ was very old and the wood was kept outside in the rain so making a fire or BBQ - we had to get most of our supplies. We have attended many other places in large groups but never had to clean as much as we did. On a positive note, the place itself is very large and the games room was lovely, the kitchen had everything needed plus more. The owner did allow us to attend earlier and leave slightly late.

As you step inside this grand and well-designed dwelling, be greeted by both a handy boot room and a drying room, where you can leave your wellies and wet-suites to dry as you return from another memorable adventure exploring your surroundings.

Rinse yourself off in the ground-floor shower rooms, or delight in a long afternoon soak in the ground-floor bathroom just a few steps away.

A well-designed wet room can also be found on the ground-floor providing guests with limited mobility a safe space to shower, whilst four further shower rooms and a cloakroom rest up on the first floor.
