The property

Resting just outside the pretty village of Llandwrog amidst the stunning Welsh countryside is this Georgian gem, Fron Emrys, offering five-bedroom accommodation for ten guests.

Enjoy a relaxing retreat alongside your loved ones with days out to the seaside as well as adventures into the Snowdonia National Park, with Fron Emrys within easy reach of both, making it the perfect base for exploring.

Be welcomed into this homely setting, heading into the large sitting room after a busy day to wind down with Sky TV to watch as you sink into the sofa, or find your way from here into the beautiful conservatory to relax with a book in hand, only looking up to admire the picturesque scenery.

A fantastic kitchen awaits the chef of the group, with plenty of excellent appliances at hand along with a dining table, perfect for perching at with a fresh glass of wine to oversee the cooking, before serving up a feast in the dining room where a larger table can accommodate everyone.

If you need to work remotely then make use of the handy study area with a desk and chair, or for those seeking to steal a moment with their other half, enjoy a movie on the TV in the snug.

A convenient utility room holds an extra oven and a washing machine, whilst the ground floor also has a lovely shower room to freshen up in, along with a bedroom complete with two king size beds and a TV, making it a great spot for grandparents or friends sharing.

Travel upstairs to find the remaining four bedrooms, with a king-size, two doubles and a bunk room to choose from, whilst the family bathroom which has a bath with an overhead shower is another excellent space to prepare for your day.

Enjoy the wonderful, large garden in warmer months, with stylish decking lining the front of the house with a unique glass and oak balustrade, along with a lawned area great for children and family games, a small orchard with seating and a picnic bench for alfresco dining.

From the property, you can take a 20 minute walk along a country path through beautiful meadows and fields to sandy Dinas Dinlle beach Fron Emrys lies just outside the centre of Llandwrog which is nearby to the delightful Dinas Dinlle, a classic seaside location well worth visiting for its beautiful sandy beach, you can grab fish and chips from the local takeaway or stop in at one of the cafés for an afternoon treat.

Also watersports activities are available.

Plenty of amenities can be found in the village of Penygroes just a few miles south of Llandwrog, here you'll find several shops for food and essentials as well as a pub and café.

Any guests who are keen walkers should plan an expedition up Snowdon, venturing into the Snowdonia National Park to take on Wales' highest mountain, with several routes to choose from and an incredible visitor centre at the top, Hafod Eryri, where you can soak up the breath-taking, unforgettable scenery.

For a day of fun in the water, head to Llyn Padarn and hire some watersports equipment from Snowdonia Watersports, afterwards taking a look around the delightful town of Llanberis.

Several attractions can be found here including Electric Mountain, Dolbadarn Castle, National Slate Museum and the Llanberis Station where you can catch the train on the Snowdon Mountain Railway for those seeking a more leisurely way up this magnificent peak.

A trip to Caernarfon is not to be missed with its amazing castle, Roman Fort, and pretty marina, whilst Bangor, Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula are all to be discovered too.

About the location

CAERNARFON

Llanberis 8 miles; Bangor 9 miles.

Caernarfon (county town of Gwynedd) has much historic and cultural importance in North Wales. It is a popular tourist spot with its impressive 13th Century castle, well preserved town walls and delightful water front. During the season there are guided tours of the castle and special events including historic pageants. There is also a station for the Welsh Highland Railway, which passes through dramatic scenery, the village of Beddgelert and onto Porthmadog. Fishing trips are available from the harbour and another attraction within walking distance of the town centre is Segontium, a Roman fort and museum, housing many important finds. Caernarfon offers a wide selection of shops and places to eat and is close to the lovely beaches of the Isle of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula as well as the mountains and rivers of Snowdonia, including the renowned mountaineering town of Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon.
