“We had a lovely stay here.”

The apartment is comfortable and the location is very convenient. I used the buses into town , they were frequent and efficient. Enjoyed watching the world go by from the lounge window. Like others have mentioned the lift was temperamental and the oven does not heat up but neither influenced our enjoyment. We would definitely stay again.

The property

Royal Manor Park is an excellent, penthouse-style apartment located in the Craig Y Don area of Llandudno, Conwy.

A wonderful coastal holiday base, this property is a fantastic choice for a couple or a small family wishing to spend a relaxing break in this idyllic seaside area.

The property is accessed by a lift and staircase from the ground floor entrance using a key and key swipe fob, with plenty of on-street parking outside.

Entering the apartment, you will find a contemporary, fully-equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook up a delicious meal together, with local shops nearby to stock up on the essentials.

Head to the open-plan living/dining room for breakfast around the dining table, whilst you admire exquisite views of Great Orme, Little Orme and the wonderful architecture of Craig Y Don from the bay window.

Turn on the gas fire in the exposed, redbrick fireplace during colder months and settle into the sofa for a family film night on the Smart TV.

Sleeping three guests, Royal Manor Park has two light-filled bedrooms; one zip/link super-king with an en-suite shower room and one single with a Velux window, both of which have storage space to unpack and make yourself right at home.

Down the hallway lies a family bathroom with a good-sized bath for an afternoon soak before heading out to explore the nightlife of Llandudno.

There are plenty of restaurants, Venue Cymru theatre and areas to sit and watch the sunset along the scenic promenade, whilst during the day you can take the short journey to the beach, wander through Haulfre Gardens or catch the Great Orme Tramway to discover Great Orme Copper Mine and fantastic views across the coast.

For family days out, take a short drive to Conwy to explore its delightful, cobbled streets, with a famous 13th-century castle and walls, a quaint harbour and home to the Smallest House in Britain.

Llanrwst is another historic town with a grand Tudor manor, Gwydir Castle, and Gwydir Chapel, built in 1673 with a beautiful painted ceiling, or take a wander through the local forest for scenic trails such as Lady Mary Walk to discover local history and tranquil lakesides.

To the west of Royal Manor Park lies Bangor, a busier town for an abundance of shops, eateries and historic sites to explore; explore the incredible Penrhyn Castle and Gardens, try the local delicacies along the pier, or visit the iconic Pontio for a night of theatre, film or music.

For a short break in Wales with a loved one or your family, Royal Manor Park is a beautiful, perfectly located apartment to make your stay a memorable one.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £250.

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
