“The actual building is really nice, however, 3 of the upstairs bedrooms have extremely restricted height, I'm 6ft 2 so don't expect to be jumping on pogo sticks in many rooms but the ceiling must be closer to 5ft 12 in the middle with a steep attic drop to both sides, leaving just a narrow 2 foot or so down the centre to walk.”
Walking upstairs caused creaking in the floorboards so badly that it woke people down in the downstairs bedroom. Walking was inevitable if you needed the loo as besides the one en-suite the other two upstairs rooms had to walk the full length of the building to get to the stairs to go down to the downstairs loo.
The double bed upstairs in the end room had no cover on the mattress, luckily we had a blanket with us, I presume just an oversight on the cleaners behalf.
The downstairs bath wouldn't get warm and when the nozzles shot out when they were switched on, so the bath was abandoned in favour of the shower.
Overall the building is lovely, the guy who handled the key on arrival day was great, the location is great too.
I figured for the price paid it was overpriced to say the arrival time was so late and the departure time so early, however we DID have the whole family there and the place wasn't cramped so not all bad by all means.
