“TYN Llwyn- LLANGOLLEN.”
This cottage is simply Fabulous. As an X-Travel Rep, I don't say that lightly. For me, Cleanliness was Paramount- Absolutely Faultless and the Hot Tub was "sparkling", monitored daily by our helpful & ever attentive host, Bethan. We had a grocery delivery-the van had no problems with postcode or steep climb to the cottage. It is a rugged Path, & low vehicles would struggle. The fully equipped kitchen was like home from home. We enjoyed scratch cooked meals, given the kitchen was stocked with ...
This cottage is simply Fabulous. As an X-Travel Rep, I don't say that lightly. We had a grocery delivery-the van had no problems with postcode or steep climb to the cottage. It is a rugged Path, & low vehicles would struggle. The fully equipped kitchen was like home from home. We enjoyed scratch cooked meals, given the kitchen was stocked with everything a cook requires. The conservatory was so very special. We sat & watched the Wildlife, Lambs & Ewes, Hares, pheasants, chicks - in fact all the daily goings on of Mother Nature at our leisure with virtually 360° panoramic views. It was simply Wonderful. The Beds were super comfy, all decor tasteful, and we loved the super fresh quality cotton ironed bedding & Ample Fluffy towels. The stairs were negotiated fairly easily by both myself- (mobility challenged), & my Hobbit legged Shihtzu, he was a pro negotiating the 3 Return Staircase by the end of the week. NOTE- there are rectractable stair gates both top & bottom for little people & furs. The generously sized downstairs toilet/cloakroom was exceptionally useful. In fact a deal breaker for any party with less mobile folk. Sykes please take note to Highlight this feature. We will most definitely be returning guests. It is a slice of heaven, & we benefitted greatly from our week here. Thankyou to Bethan & Co, for sharing this Beautiful Bolthole with us all. x

Deborah “A beautiful cottage in a stunning location.”
The cottage is spotless and extremely comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. There are lots of thoughtful touches, and there was a much appreciated box of welcome treats. The hot tub was a welcome treat after long days out walking, and it is checked every day by Bethan, who is the perfect host. We spent many hours just enjoying the views and watching the cows and sheep. I could quite happily live here!

There is another 4 bed property next door making it a perfect stay for families/friends. This property also has a downstairs w/c which I don’t think is mentioned in the listing. Hot tub was lovely after our trips out with the dogs. The drive up to the house was fun,.being surrounded by sheep and cows! Owners can't do enough for you! We'd love to return! Possibly for a visit next door and although close, extremely private from each other. Would highly recommend!

It's a beautiful and well cared for property and it was very spacious for us with 2 adults and 2 children. Making memories as a family is so important to us and this place really enabled us to do that :) The views are simply stunning which made this all the more special a place to stay in. The house was set out so well and very well equipped with absolutely everything and made our stay extremely comfortable. It was so cosy we only put the log burner on once. Even the conservatory was cosy and warm and the views are truly stunning. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

The views were absolutely stunning and you could not fault the friendliness of the hosts. They were so kind and we were almost made to feel like family. The dogs had a lovely fenced off garden and were fascinated with the view across the valley. I don't think the downstairs toilet was mentioned on the write up,this was really useful. A huge thankyou to everyone, we will be returning soon.

Anna “What can I say that hasn't been said already?”
! This place is truly fabulous. The house itself is beautifully furnished, well-equipped, clean and comfortable. The views are just spectacular from almost every room. The hot tub was perfect to relax in and take in those gorgeous views. We also enjoyed looking up at the stars on clear nights. The cottage feels remote and peaceful but is only a stone's throw from amenities. Bethan was a brilliant host and always responded promptly to any queries we had. We have stayed in many lovely Sykes cottages over the years but we are yet to make a revisit to any of them - I suspect Tyn Llewyn may be the first to entice us back! Thank you Bethan for such a wonderful stay. Hope to see you again soon!

Lindsay “Tyn Llwyn is the perfect family break!”
It has everything you need and more. Having two children, who love to be outdoors, I found the washer dryer really useful. They loved the freedom the farm has to offer and there are plenty of things to do within the locality. We visited Zip World, went in the canal boats, caught fish in the river and had a brilliant day out at Chester Zoo. Each morning we watched the cattle come down for breakfast and saw Huw and his amazing sheepdogs gather the sheep. The views in any weather are the best I’ve ever seen! It was lovely to be greeted by the owner on arrival, the cottage is spacious, clean and tidy. Lots of lovely finishing touches that you don’t normally get in rented accommodation. It was the perfect break and I couldn’t have asked for more…so relaxing. Bethan and her family make you feel right at home. They are very warm, friendly, knowledgable people. We will be returning very soon!!! Thank you for everything. 10/10

The cottage was perfect, excellent quality furnishing and exceptionally clean. Although the weather wasn't as nice as we would have like it, we had a truly restful time. We have spent a number of years exploring the North Wales area and this cottage was the best we've ever stayed at. The views are spectacular. It is a perfect place to stay whether you wish to explore the many beautiful areas in this part of Wales or just to spend it relaxing and enjoying the calm & quiet of this perfect place.

Beautiful cottage which was spotless an there was literally everything there you could need, Bethan had thought of everything. A lovely welcome gift awaited of cookies, Crisps, prosecco an even milk in the fridge. Views were beautiful and hot tub was lovely the kids especially loved that. The accommodation was spotless and filled with comforts and anemities that made it feel like a little home from home. The views were stunning- even our 7 month old loved watching the sunrise from his walker! The hosts were very accommodating for him too. 10 minutes away from Llangollen, with the peaceful feeling of being away from everybody! We would not recommended driving up for the first time in the dark- but in the light it was fine. Everything else was perfect!

Very well kitted out and the owner was close by and very efficiently dealt with any problems we encountered. The children 11 & 13 particularly enjoyed the hot tub. The drive up to the cottage was quite steep and our front wheeled drive car took a bit of persuading to get up the first time. We would definitely return and would recommend to anyone that was looking for a quiet rural retreat.

The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and is very comfortable. The conservatory was the highlight for us with a great view of the valley below. What a panorama !! Even the hot tub is situated in a position to take in the view. Mrs Jones was very helpful and lives on a farm down the valley, and was only a phone call away, but not needed as everything worked perfectly. There is another holiday let on site, but is situated in a position which neither cottage intrudes on the other. Very pleased with this property.

The owner Bethan was incredibly helpful, organised and welcoming and allowed us to take our 3 dogs when we requested prior to booking. The pictures of the view from this house DO NOT do it justice- it was absolutely breath taking… particularly at sunrise and sunset!!! The hot tub was ready to use on arrival and was such an amazing addition to admire the view from! Really spacious, clean and comfortable house with everything you need. We highly enjoyed watching the sheep and lambs in the surrounding fields. Lovely enclosed garden/ patio area which was perfect for the dogs. Would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to explore North Wales. We climbed Snowdon which was about an hour away by car. Enjoyed exploring Llangollen which is a 5 minute drive away- lots of amenities, pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Views from every aspect are exceptional! Lovely welcome goodies on arrival. Very clean and warm .Spacious and cosy at the same time helped by with the open fire in the evening. You are permitted to walk through all the fields in the vicinity, provided dogs are on leads, there are lots of sheep! Hot tub enjoys the amazing views and is checked daily. LLangollen is a great little town with quaint independent shops, a handy Aldi and some nice pubs and cafes. Would certainly recommend this property.

This word says it all. This cottage really is outstanding in everything. The cleanliness, comfort, warmth, facilities, just everything. Probably the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many. Loved the hot tub and the wood burner. Loved the views as the cottage is high up on the hill. We went following storm Arwen which knocked out the wi-fi but this did not detract from anything really as we had our phones. Welcome pack and gifts were amazing and the hosts were available should they be needed but just left us to get on with it. Fully recommend this place.

Really enjoyed our week away especially as we had been due to get married in Australia and of course Covid stopped this happening. It wasn't as peaceful as we hoped due to work happening on the property next door so there was a lot of in and out of the access road however it didn't ruin our stay and I would highly recommend this cottage.

Joe “I stayed here for a week with my partner, parents and two sisters and it exceeded our expectations.”
We had a fantastic week, the hot tub was a great addition and the views are breathtaking. It was very close to Llangollen which was a beautiful town and we also visited Snowdon, Colwyn Bay and Ironbridge which were around an hours drive from the property. We used a cab on the last night so everyone could have a drink, we would recommenced the Grouse Inn for food and drink, we had a lovely meal there on our final night and it had great views. Beth was a brilliant host and helpful with any questions we had and we will 100% be visiting this property in the future.

Very friendly, contact and a much welcomed welcome pack, to get us started. It was perfect for us because it was quiet and secluded. Set in its on field surrounded by cows and sheep. We were in the country! Fabulous views that changed by the day and hour. Loved to see the mist in the valleys, the sunrise and when the sun set the vistas changed again. Better than T.V. True panoramic views, wonderful. My wife is a home bod, doesn't want to be away from her home for long, but she didn't want to leave the cottage it was so perfect and comfortable and so quiet. Even at this time of the year (October). She and I would both love to return preferably sooner, than later. Would book again. Excellent place to stay.

The property was absolutely wonderful, anything you could need was right there on site. With so many well thought of extras and added touches. The hosts have really thought about how to make this a home away from home. It’s Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean with a completely secure garden for the kids and dog. You feel immediately relaxed and comfortable. The location is breathtaking! The views across the valleys are stunning. I haven’t stayed anywhere with a better view. And I loved being surrounded by the fields of sheep and cows, very peaceful to watch. And the garden is a great sun trap for pretty much the whole day! There is an Aldi and home bargains store about 5 mins drive away and the surrounding villages are beautiful, especially Llangollen, the corn mill pub was perfect overlooking the river and lovely food! The hot tub was brilliant!! You just can’t beat sitting in it at any time of day starring at the scenery, especially after a long walk. The hosts were wonderful, Bethan came to clean the hot tub every day, so it was always fresh and made sure we had everything we needed. Her phone number was supplied and told us if we had any problems to call. Thank you for such a lovely holiday, we shall be booking this place again!!

The cottage itself was absolutely spotless and we actually ended up spending a huge amount of time in the hot tub looking out at the views it was so beautiful! The ideal holiday cottage to get away from everything but with the option to travel to the lovely nearby town of Llangollen if needed. A faultless stay. The owner Bethan could not have been more helpful we were travelling from another cottage and enquired if it would be possible to arrive before 4pm, Bethan said she would do her best and text us which she duly did and we were met by her at the cottage 1.30pm which was a huge bonus there was no need to speak to her again until leaving as everything was perfect a wonderful stay indeed.

The panoramic vista is superb and compliments the cottage . Every thing had been provided to make your stay 5* and Bethan the owner was extremely friendly and provided a lovely welcome package for our arrival . An excellent holiday in beautiful surroundings with lots to do and see in the area. If you are contemplating a break in North Wales do not hesitate to stay here it is very central to get to plenty of sights . We shall definitely return !

The cottage itself is beautiful and situated on top of a hill surrounded by mountains- the only thing you can hear is the animals and birds! Absolute perfection if your looking for some peace and quiet, beautiful walks or relax in the hot tub looking over at the mountains or under the stars on a clear night. Plenty to do locally with some fantastic places to go for something to eat and drink. Our 7 year old son summed up this cottage perfectly "The best holiday ever".

Jolanda “What can we say about this house?”
I hope it remains an undiscovered diamond, so that we can stay there again and it's not 100% booked constantly. The house is all you can ask for for, spacious, clean, breathtaking view, perfect location, near amenities and thing to explore. The small problem we encountered was handled swiftly and 100% correctly. We wished that all cottages owners are like this one. The only minor thing to note is the status of the road up to the exit that leads you to the road up to the cottage. This road is the local counsels responsibly and not the cottage owner. Our car did not have a problem with all the potholes, but I can understand that car that are lower to teh ground can have a problem. We will definitely will come back.

The location is perfect but your nearest shop is in Llangollen if you need essentials and don't have your own car. The Bewryn Arms which is only about 15 minutes walk was lovely, very good food and freindly staff. The sheep on your doorstep is unreal in the mornings and seeing them following the farmers quad bike for their breakfast is so amazing to see, very well looked after and great farm to be secluded in . The hot tub which we only used a few times as we were too busy was very clean. The night sky was crystal clear, you could see the stars for miles, the views are gorgeous, the forests and the moutanins that you see from your window in the morning is mind blowing, you won't ever want to leave this perfect little escape from everyday life, you truly feel blessed to be there.

The property
Tyn Llwyn is a delightful cottage on the owners working livestock farm, with magnificent far reaching views over the surrounding Welsh hills, close to the small village of Glyndyfrdwy and five miles from the town of Llangollen.
With livestock in the surrounding fields, this wonderful cottage has superb character and charm, as well as offering light and attractive accommodation.
Tyn Llwyn has a comfortable and modern family living space.
Upon walking into the country style kitchen you will find stone floors and wood cream cabinets, then from here through French doors is the conservatory with a dining table, which is great for socialising and taking in the breathtaking views, where at night you can admire the clear night sky.
Also on the ground floor is a sitting room with a warming woodburning stove on a granite hearth, comfortable sofas and Freeview TV.
An oak staircase takes you upstairs to the master bedroom with en-suite shower room, two further bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Outside there is the peace and quiet you can only imagine with views and wildlife on your doorstep.
You can sit back and unwind on the lawned garden, or after a busy day relax in the hot tub and take in the scenery.
The location of Tyn Llwyn is an equal distance between Corwen and Llangollen, so as you can imagine there is much to discover for all ages in the Vale of Llangollen.
You are also only two miles from the Moel Fferna slate quarry where you can enjoy stunning walks through the countryside.
Just some of the activities in the area include riding the white water, climbing high above the valley or cycling along beautiful and challenging trails.
If fishing is your favourite pastime, you can do that here too, and there are walks for all abilities in stunning scenery, including the most dramatic section of the Offa's Dyke path.
There's so much more to see and do in the area making this a quality base for everyone in your party.

GLYNDYFRDWY
Llangollen 4.4 miles; Bala 14 miles.
The small village of Glyndyfrdwy is situated amidst the beautiful Dee Valley, just 4.4 miles from the picturesque town of Llangollen. Situated close to the foothills of the scenic Berwyn Mountains, the village is renowned as the home of Owain Glyndwr where, in 1400, he proclaimed himself Prince of Wales and thus began his 14-year rebellion against the English. Today you can still see Owain's Mount - the eroded remains of a 12th century castle motte, whilst the village itself offers a village pub. Great walking is available with the Offa's Dyke Pathway nearby, whilst canoeing on the River Dee is available for those who enjoy water sports. The nearby town of Llangollen offers a good range of shops, pubs and eateries and is internationally famous for its annual Musical Eisteddfod as well as for white water rafting opportunities. Take a steam train through the picturesque Dee Valley, visit the National Trust properties at Erddig or Chirk Castle or take some time to explore the Clwydian Hills or the delights of Snowdonia National Park.
