“Jason and Joanne’s apartment is fantastic.”

Exceptionally clean, very comfortable in all aspects and in a fantastic location. He even made the patio secure for us so our little dog could wander in and out ! Amazing place !

“Well set up, and set out accommodation.”

Very comfortable lounge/ eating area. Kitchen equipment all as you would expect and all clean. A really nice play to stay, very central for Llyn peninsula, and of course Snowdonia Ational park. The owners are on hand to help or consult but they are no means intrusive if you wish to be left to it. I would happily go back there, so that seems a decent recommendation! And you can't say that for them all......

High quality throughout. Thoughtful layout. Comfy settee and bed. Great shower. Lovely outside patio area with seating, with the sound of the river. Very peaceful but convenient for getting around. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a stay in this area.

“A lovely property in a very peaceful village in a beautiful part of north Wales.”

A great base with a wide range of day trips out including stunning beaches, Snowdonia, historical sites etc. The property was clean and had everything needed for a family of 2 adults and 2 children (aged 14 and 12 - good wifi). Having breakfast outside with the sound of the river nearby was lovely. Many thanks to the hosts.

Gwel Afon, a wonderful ground-floor accomodation, is located in the lovely community of Llanystumdwy near Criccieth.

Gwel Afon is the ideal home for a family of four, as it is situated on the banks of the River Dwyfor, which can be heard from your own front garden.

Snowdonia National Park is also nearby.

There are two off-street parking spaces and a front patio with chairs for you to enjoy your morning cup of tea amongst tranquil surroundings.

Look forward to kicking back with your loved ones on the inviting, leather corner sofa and watching your favourite show on the Smart TV.

In the well-equipped kitchen, whip up a delicious meal for four to be served at the dining table or outside in the garden with the soothing murmur of the river.

Two well-appointed bedrooms await after a day of exploring: a double with an en-suite shower room, and a bunk room for the kids.

You can take a stroll along the river, visit the Amgueddfa Lloyd George Museum, or enjoy a drink at the Tafarn Y Plu bar, which is housed in a Grade II listed structure.

In Criccieth you'll find a petrol station stocking the essentials, a magnificent castle with sweeping sea views and two stunning beaches.

You can also stop at Dylan's for some fresh seafood.

Criccieth 1.6 miles; Porthmadog 6.4 miles; Morfa Bychan 8.4 miles.

Llanystumdwy is a charming Welsh-speaking village resting between Chwilog and Morfa Bychan. The village is well-known as being the location of the National Writer’s Centre for Wales, and offers a good selection of attractions, including the Amgueddfa Lloyd George Museum, walks along the Afon Dwyfor, and the Rabbit Farm. Dining options include the welcoming Tafarn Y Plu, where you can sample local ales and hearty pub meals in a traditional inn set within a Grade II listed building. Just outside of the town is Criccieth, where you will find a well-stocked petrol station for picking up essentials, the remarkable Criccieth Castle, Traeth Criccieth, Marine Beach, and the eateries of Swn-y-mor, Poachers Restaurant and Idris Café.
