“Fabulous place.”

The cleanliness, appliances, equipment and bedding was brilliant. Everything needed was available and as listed. It is an older property with high ceilings, wonderful log burner and heating was great. Bathrooms are all newly fitted and had really good showers and water pressure. With many older properties, there are a few signs of where there has been issues, but nothing that impacted our stay. The place accommodated our friends weekend away and we loved having enough space for 10 adults and ...

“When we arrived at the property there was scaffolding on the side of the house.”

On entry the overwhelming smell of damp hit us, the downstairs decor was dated and in need of a refresh. The facilities in the kitchen where not on line with the number of people staying in the property, for example a 2 slice toaster and small fridge freezer to accommodate 20 people. We where unable to shower or use the toilets on the Saturday morning as the drains were blocked. The owners (who were very nice) acted quickly to solve this situation, but it never should have happened in the first place. Over all I was extremely disappointed with this property, it was under repair and we were not informed. I paid full price for a property that should not have been rented out. Llandudno on the other hand was wonderful.

Dear Susan, Thanks for your response. Apologies that you did not feel the stay reflected your expectations but for the benefit of those reading the reviews and looking to book I will address these concerns with facts of the stay. A message was sent in advance via Sykes portal to say that scaffolding was up. This scaffolding was safe, out of the way and all routine maintenance work had been completed in between (not during!) guest stays. It was due to come down a day after your stay. We left it there so scaffolders weren’t there taking it down on the day of your arrival to prevent any interruption to your holiday. You arrived at the property 2 hours earlier than allowed and this was not agreed with us. You asked about a smell of damp. Our Sykes recommended cleaners came out and confirmed that the house smelled lovely and was clean and tidy. There is a review (see below) of guests who stayed only 4 days prior to yourself who said the house smelled lovely (initials: KW). We couldn’t get to the bottom of this concern. The decor was in line with how it was advertised when you booked which many have enjoyed so unsure why this is an issue now. The issue on Saturday morning, was rapidly resolved by us. Quite notably you have left out that this issue was Welsh Waters communal pipe line joining in the street being blocked: not our property’s drainage. This is why they came out and charged us nothing to repair (though we would have been more than ready to pay if the fault were in our property.) No holiday let owner could do more than address this immediately and appropriately, as we did. You left the house in a timely manner but unfortunately in a state so dirty our cleaners had to very notably message us afterwards to comment on it. We’ll look into increasing toaster size; there is a grill for additional bread to be toasted. Fridge-freezer size has been adequate for all previous stays as this is a short term holiday let but it is noted. Best wishes Mariners Lee Property Owner

“Had the best stay at Mariners Lee.”

The house is huge and comfortably fit our family. Each bedroom is bigger than the pictures portray. The beds are super comfy. The kitchen was great for hosting/cooking. Smart TVs in all the bedrooms. Considering it’s a big house the heating was brilliant. As soon as you turned it on it the whole house was warm. You’re a 1 minute walk to the sea front. About 15 minute walk to the town centre and pier. The location was amazing and couldn’t be beaten. We got back yesterday and already talks of booking up again for next year.

“Me and my family throughly enjoyed our stay at marines lees, the accommodation was clean, the furniture and overall up keeping of the house was immaculate, the rooms were also very spacious and comfortable.”

The convenient location was close to major attractions, north shore beach was only 7mins walk away from the accommodation. Me and my family definitely recommend this accommodation highly and hope to get the opportunity to return again. The owner of the property was also very friendly and welcoming it was comforting to know they were an available over the phone for any advice or help.

“Communication has been fab very easy booking process, good location, clean bedding and towels.”

Plenty of crockery but not enough pans to make a meal. The house was fairly clean but the floors downstairs were very dirty. The seating was ample but not comfortable The outside space was dire and unsafe for the younger children. with just a few changes this could be a really good let.

As for the outdoor space, it is advertised as an enclosed garden for parking purposes, rather than a play area for children. “Just incredible.”

This house was everything we asked for and more. The communication even before booking and the holiday, was amazing. We stayed here for a family trip to climb Snowdon, it only took us 35 mins to get to the mountain. Parking round the back of the property, and there was also loads of parking on the street, for free. The house was huge, perfect for our family. Everything was styled beautifully and you can see so much love, time and money has been spent on this house. The location is just perfect, everything you could need is on your doorstep. Near the beach, train station, shops and perfect distance from the mountain. I would recommend this house to anyone. “A hidden gem!”

Our family of 13 had a wonderful week in this incredible property. Ideal location for us.It had everything you wanted and was close to beach and a short walk to the town. We had a 4 month old baby with us and a travel cot was in the family bedroom ready for use. The house was well equipped, spacious and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and we definitely recommend this house. Thank you.

“We feel we have found a gem in this place!”

!We had a fantastic family get together at Mariners Lee. What a great location just steps away from the promenade, theatre, shops and much more. The children called the house the mansion and loved the games room with table tennis, table football & boxed games. We could all dine together in the spacious dining area and could sit together in the comfortable lounge with Alexa available to set the mood. The kitchen was well equipped with anything we needed. The whole house has a modern decor and the beds were super comfy. There was an intro pack that had everything we needed to know whilst in the house and ideas of local attractions, places to eat out or takeaway. We walked from here to the Orme & ski/Toboggan centre, pier, shops & park. We all managed to park on the roads outside the house as the parking in the yard was a bit tight but may fit smaller cars. Thank you Mariners Lee. We will definitely be coming back!

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal.
