“Immaculate cottage next door but one to Dolbadarn castle.”
Small yet not cramped, this cottage retains its true character. Very warm and cosy.
Regardless of size, this has to be the most thoughtfully and comprehensively equiped cottage we've ever stayed in, (even toothpaste?). Room for cooking "proper meals", the fridge freezer is large enough to store a weeks food. The welcome pack was generous and good quality.
Clever use of space, the washer/dryer in the hall cupboard is a stroke of genius.
The off road parking was invaluable.
The slated front garden was wonderful for sitting and watching the world go by and also the sheep, squirrels, and owls in the woods opposite. We even had baby bunnies come under the gate to visit, (they really did).
Yes, the road can get busy, but latching the gate properly and keeping a watchful and responsible eye on the any children or dogs will keep them safe, (and keep the sheep out).
The cottage owners, Andy and Sioned, are the nicest people you could wish to meet. They never intrude, but were super helpful when asked for advice.
It rained for a lot of our fortnight. No problem, waterproofs on and out for the day. Evenings spent sitting in front of the log fire were so relaxing.
We can honestly say that this was the most enjoyable cottage holiday we have ever had and we look forward to returning soon.
