“Great property for a weeks stay.”

Superb location and the cottage was superb, full of character and with everything needed. Really nice welcome pack with milk and cakes. Only thing that could be improved is the cleaning, as quite dusty and lots of old cobwebs, however wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

“The host was friendly and the welcome box was a nice touch.”

An ideal base for exploring Snowdon and the surrounding area. It is also close to a hotel when it came to eating out. Our only issue was the heating. We stayed at the end of September when the weather was very wet and a bit chilly but the storage heaters didn't seem to come on long enough to keep the place warm and dry. You cannot adjust the heaters yourself so the host raised the temperature on the living room heater but it wasn't on long enough to really benefit. Saying that, there is a wood burner if you are used to using them, unfortunately we are not. We stay in lets and b&b's a lot but due to the place feeling damp and cold most of the time, we decided to leave a day earlier.

The cottage is lovely, ideal location not just for Snowdon but when travelling to different areas Caernarfon, Angelsey, Betws y Coed - all were within 20/30 minutes. Can walk to the start of the Llanberis Path for Snowdon, great for cycling and other walks. Good parking. Really thoughtful welcome pack.

“Very conveniently situated, only 5 minutes walk to the centre of the village, and very close to the start of the Llanberis path up Yr Wyddfa.”

Selection of restaurants/bars/cafes in the village. The cottage was comfortable, clean and quite quirky with a lovely stone wall feature (original) in the lounge. Bedrooms were small but adequate - and comfortable. Kitchen also small, but had everything we needed - we only use it for preparing a light breakfast and snacks, so was perfectly OK for that. We had hoped to have a barbecue one day, but the weather was not kind, and I think it would have been difficult to find a suitable place for a disposable barbecue to be safely positioned. Perfect location for a short break in a beautiful area of Wales.

“The cottage itself was good everything you need, but the smell of dog was quite potent.”

Especially when you went to sit on sofa. The owner did bring some fabreze and a scented candle but it didn’t really hide the smell. I hadn’t checked the listing properly to note dogs were aloud. So not all there fault. I will not make that mistake again. It did spoil our holiday.

Even though it is right by the road, we heard no road noise at all. The welcome basket of goodies was very generous and the folder of info clear and informative. The bed was very comfy, the kitchen is extremely well equipped for everything that you would need, and the whole cottage was lovely and warm. Outside seating area was lovely. I had a lovely chat with Sioned on the phone prior to our arrival, and we organised safe pick up of the keys, so everything was really very easy and straightforward. Highly recommend this lovely cottage, we may even bring our children next time if they are lucky! We hope to return again.

“When we entered the cottage we were met by a strong smell of plug-in scented air-fresheners.”

We unplugged these as they are full of harmful chemicals. When we sat on the sofa we realised straight away why the air fresheners were there - to try and disguise the pungent odour of dog. We were unable to use the sofa because of this terrible smell. We washed our clothes in the washer/dryer but they failed to dry even when we tried twice more just on the drying setting.

I would certainly recommend it for a couple, or family with younger children (second room is very small with bunk beds) It's too small for 4 adults or couples with older children, especially in bad weather when you might be indoors more.

“Just got back from an amazing week away, myself and my partner and our 2 dogs loved the cottage and it was perfectly situated for the village and Snowdon.”

We had everything we needed and it was clean and just a great spot for walking and sightseeing, we did the 2 lake walks, climbed Snowdon, swam in the lake, went for meals and all were just a few minutes walk away. So much to see and do in the local area just not enough time to do it all in a week. Perfect cottage in a perfect location, we loved it and will be back to do another Snowdon path again. The views around the area are just spectacular, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

, when you self cater you usually bring extra bits, tin foil, washing up liquid etc, but no need! everything was there, tea, coffee, even sweeteners! they had thought of everything, logs for the fire was also lovely to create a snug effect and there was a lovely dog pack for our dog, we had a lovely stay highly recommended.

It was quiet and very comfortable. It is fifteen minutes walk to the Snowdon Mountain railway station and Llanberis village, which has lots of shops and eateries. It is very convenient to travel to other areas to see wonderful scenery, mountains and beaches. As you can tell we had a lovely holiday, very relaxing during this unusual time. We had contact with the very nice owners who had made the cottage so welcoming.

Really nicely laid out and furnished inside, and there was a welcome Bara Brith cake for us on our arrival. When we had a few questions we got very quick helpful answers. Location is great - although the main road through Llanberis runs outside, it's really pretty quiet. There's a small bus stop right outside where you can grab the Snowdon Ranger bus up to Pen y Pass, very handy for climbing Snowdon! Also we hadn't realised but there's a little terrace on the hillside at the back of the cottage which has a great view looking out over the cottage rooftop. There's also a little path belonging to the cottage leading round to a bench in the woods. And Dolbadarn Castle is just a couple of minutes walk down a footpath from the front door. Thank you for helping us have a great trip!

“I booked this cottage last minute and it was spotless with hand gel on the door step, once inside it was spotless, the garden was an amazing surprise i felt like I opened the door on a secret world it was gorgous and an amazing surprise as it wasnt expected.”

Everything was on the doorstep the old miners houses on the hill were quaint as was all the walks you can access without having to drive. There was instructions on things to do too assist the owners clean as per covid requirements. I wouldn't hesitate to book again it was a lovely stay

The weather was extremely unsettled so it meant we spent more time in the cottage than anticipated which made our 3 days in Llanberis very enjoyable and we will definitely be returning (hopefully to this cottage) to conquer Mt Snowdon. A big thanks to the owners and I would strongly advise anyone thinking of staying to try it out. The hotel (Victoria) next door was particularly handy serving nice food with some cask ales on offer but unfortunately they don't allow dogs but other places in Llanberis do such as The Heights. Thanks again!!!

The hotel next door was an unexpected bonus, just a five minute walk to enjoys its bar and food. I am a photographer and was in Snowdonia to take specific photographs, it was my first visit and I was stunned at the beauty of the place. Taking photographs outdoors in winter can be very cold work so the cottage multi fuel stove was a godsend. after a days work outdoor and a couple of hours in the hotel bar, going back to the cottage and its stove was the perfect way to end the day. ( I had a nice bottle of red waiting for me, thank god it was only a five minute walk ) I would not hesitate to recommend the cottage and would love to return there.

“Immaculate cottage next door but one to Dolbadarn castle.”

Small yet not cramped, this cottage retains its true character. Very warm and cosy. Regardless of size, this has to be the most thoughtfully and comprehensively equiped cottage we've ever stayed in, (even toothpaste?). Room for cooking "proper meals", the fridge freezer is large enough to store a weeks food. The welcome pack was generous and good quality. Clever use of space, the washer/dryer in the hall cupboard is a stroke of genius. The off road parking was invaluable. The slated front garden was wonderful for sitting and watching the world go by and also the sheep, squirrels, and owls in the woods opposite. We even had baby bunnies come under the gate to visit, (they really did). Yes, the road can get busy, but latching the gate properly and keeping a watchful and responsible eye on the any children or dogs will keep them safe, (and keep the sheep out). The cottage owners, Andy and Sioned, are the nicest people you could wish to meet. They never intrude, but were super helpful when asked for advice. It rained for a lot of our fortnight. No problem, waterproofs on and out for the day. Evenings spent sitting in front of the log fire were so relaxing. We can honestly say that this was the most enjoyable cottage holiday we have ever had and we look forward to returning soon.

The cottage itself was spotlessly clean with everything provided for a comfortable stay. The owners were extremely helpful and made sure that we knew how to contact them if any problems (which there weren't), they even offered advice on the best pubs in the area. Myself and my son had a great long weekend at Ty Coed, which is centrally located so easy to get to Anglesey, Bangor, Llandudno etc. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to visit North Wales.

Ideal for walking the mountain. The cottage is beautifully decorated and presented as well as very comfortable and clean. It has every thing you could possibly want and the owners have spent a lot of time making it very homely. When I look for a place I look for the detail and presentation as it is usually a good indication of what you will find when you arrive. This cottage will not disappoint and I would definately recommend it to anyone. I would not heistate in booking this cottage again and the owners are very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Overall a great long weekend thank you very much.

We acknowledge that the electric immersion tank is small and only has a modest capacity for the bath-We will take on-board your comments and will be rectifying this. We currently are looking at the options of having a larger boiler installed. With regards to the shower we are talking with a plumber to purchase a new shower unit that provides a higher flow rate / minute. LLANBERIS

Caernarfon 7 miles; Bangor 10 miles; Betws-y-Coed 17 miles.

Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. In fact, Llanberis is something of a mecca for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by train via the Snowdon Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Each year, major racing events attract thousands to the area: The fast Snowdon Race to the summit, held in July every year, a triathlon known as the world's toughest, and The Snowdonia Marathon, held in October - a gruelling 26-mile course that starts and finishes in Llanberis, circumnavigating the Snowdon Massif. The area is also popular for mountain biking, open water swimming and stand up paddle boarding. Within Llanberis itself there are excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 7 miles from Llanberis on the coast is Caernarfon with its magnificent castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn, Plas Newydd and Bodnant Gardens.
