“Absolutely beautiful cottage in a stunning location just a short drive from Conwy.”

Very quiet location. Enclosed garden ideal for the dog. Property also very easy to find despite rural location and handy for most major towns of north Wales. Closest pub is 300yds away called the fairy Glen but to clarify they are not dog friendly and were quite rude when I went in just to check, the Gladstone pub a mile away is very dog friendly and food is really good. When we arrived at the cottage it was cold and couldn't work out how to operate the heating, rang Michelle the owner who is lovely and she was there within 15 minutes and got it sorted. If I could find any criticism with the cottage it would be the beds and pillows which were a little uncomfortable but they might be fine for others, despite this we actually slept quite well. Would we go back? Yes without doubt, we didn't want to leave, if there are any bad reviews just ignore them as the only bad thing was the rudeness of the bloke in the fairy Glen pub.... His loss! We also had 2 family members join us for our last 2 nights, and were able to leave an hour later than the 10am check out time due to me having to prepare medication, both of these Michelle was more than happy with so thanks again Michelle. If anyone is looking for a lovely property to stay in with nice owners, a great location with peace and quiet this is the one.

The property

Bwthyn Carregwen is a lovely detached cottage situated in Dwygyfylchi, Wales.

The property has a reverse-level accommodation style, with three bedrooms: Two doubles, one twin and a family shower room on the ground floor, with the twin bedroom boasting wonderful country views and featuring a range of modern furnishings to store all your personal items.

Throughout the home, the colours are attractive, welcoming and very much in the modern-contemporary style, with plenty of character with the exposed oak beams and wooden flooring throughout, except for the bedrooms which all have carpet.

The first floor is home to an open-plan living space, with a welcoming sitting room with two sofas and a warming woodburning stove to keep you warm during those chilly evenings - take advantage of the provided TV and keep up to date with all your favourite shows.

The kitchen is amply-equipped, with white units and sleek black granite worktops, housing a range of modern appliances.

The property has two garden areas, one front enclosed lawn and patio area, and a rear raised level patio area with furniture and a dog kennel, so you can enjoy a relaxing evening outside and let your pet off its lead to enjoy the enclosed space.

You are ideally situated for exploring the incredible limestone headland, the Great Orme, which offers an expansive countryside area with nature trails and magnificent views across the countryside and sea.

With easy access to the Conwy Morfa Beach, with golden sands and clear waters, making it a lovely attraction for family days out, you can even bring your pet along and let them run around.

Bwthyn Carregwen is the place to be for those who enjoy the secluded countryside.

About the location

DWYGYFYLCHI

Penmaenmawr 1.5 miles; Conwy 3.5 miles.

Dwygyfylchi is situated on the stunning North Wales coast between Penmaenmawr and Conwy. It looks out across to the Irish Sea, Conwy Bay, Anglesey and the Great Orme off Llandudno, where dolphins can sometimes be seen swimming in the distance. On a clear day, the Isle of Man can be visible. It is nestled at the foot of Moel Lys mountain, which offers many beautiful walks and vistas. A recently opened cycling track enables you to ride along the coast eastwards towards Conwy and beyond, or westwards towards Llanfairfechan. Located by the beach at Penmaenmawr is a Sailing Club and there is also the Penmaenmawr Golf Club; visitors are welcome at both. On the other end of the beach to the Sailing Club is a promenade area offering skate boarding, a children’s playpark, bowling green, promenade cafe and all-weather tennis courts, as well as some of the safest swimming in the area on a long sandy beach. Alternatively, you can drive (or walk) up the Sychnant Pass, from where there are many walking trails leading off. Further on, you can drive up through the beautiful Conwy Valley alongside the River Conwy. On the way to the Sychnant Pass you go through the charming village of Capelulo, where there are a couple of restaurants. This is a lovely area which provides a fantastic base for your holiday in North Wales
