“As you know, the property had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, nor were the beds made up.”
A messy first night involving, waiting for the cleaner to arrive and then sitting in the car at Tesco waiting for the property to be prepared. The subsequent late dinner didn’t help. This was followed by the boiler maintenance issue which seemed to be mainly sorted by Chris the owner. He contacted directly me via text and phone call. Seemed like a nice chap by the way and none of this is his fault. House was fine, in a good location.

Being in the centre of Caernarfon means you conveniently have lots of amenities at your feet, including the stylish Old Court House restaurant, traditional Black Boy Inn and the Galeri Theatre and Cinema for some evening entertainment.
Be sure to go for a walk around Victoria Dock while taking in the seascape and coastal breeze, or along Lon Gwyrfai's walking and cycling trail, which takes you from Caernarfon to the village of Waunfawr.
The town's highlight is Caernarfon Castle, known globally as one of the greatest buildings of the Middle Ages; be sure to take a guided tour around the fortress, before travelling to the idyllic Caernarfon Watch Tower for a picnic.
In addition to local sights, the Coach House is located on the outskirts of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, a perfect outing for those looking for some adventure; why not climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), hike the Cwm Idwal trail, or enjoy the thrill of riding the fastest zip wire at Penrhyn Quarry?

Caernarfon (county town of Gwynedd) has much historic and cultural importance in North Wales. It is a popular tourist spot with its impressive 13th Century castle, well preserved town walls and delightful water front. During the season there are guided tours of the castle and special events including historic pageants. There is also a station for the Welsh Highland Railway, which passes through dramatic scenery, the village of Beddgelert and onto Porthmadog.
