    Great place to stay easy access for site seeing and walks The apartment has everything you need and more Great facilities if you want to eat in and cook The apartment was spotless the host was really nice and helpful Nice outside area with a chimania with some wood provided The Blue Bell inn was a stone through away with good cask ale's and lager, on Thursday there was a mobile wood fire pizza van which was really good and you could eat in the pub with a pint and on Friday a fish and ...

Mold 5 miles; Chester 15.5 miles.

Halkyn a pretty, scattered Welsh village in an elevated position overlooking the Dee estuary. This is an area of Special Scientific Interest, surrounded by 2000 acres of common land. This Welsh village is well known for its walking and mountain biking, and adjoins the Wat’s Dyke heritage trail. Conveniently located a few miles off the main A55 Welsh road, this North Wales village is ideal for exploring the North Wales coast, Snowdonia National Park and Anglesey and, being a short distance from the English border, you have the Roman city of Chester with its famous walls, amphitheatre and historic rows. For a day trip you could visit the vibrant cities of Liverpool or Manchester, both within easy reach, while a little further afield, why not visit the emerald island with the Holyhead to Dublin ferry a little over an hour away?
