“Generally a v good standard,v clean and v well equipped.”

V nice welcome pack too which was a nice touch. Head height in bedroom we found difficult and would have preferred dining table to a breakfast bar but those are a personal preference and not a criticism as we were aware of both Pryor to arrival. Location was good for easy access to lleyn peninsula snowdonia and Anglesey which we appreciated but traffic noise was more than we had anticipated ,especially noticeable when using the secure dog friendly garden.all said we had a nice short break so many thanks to all concerned.

Situated on a main road but you couldn't hear the traffic at all inside. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean on arrival along with beautiful flowers, wine and chocolates and everything was provided. The beds were extremely comfortable and the enclosed garden was perfectly dog friendly. The owners were so friendly and helpful, we shall definitely be returning. There is so much to see and do in this part of Wales, you're spoilt for choice.

“On arrival we were delighted to find that Nerys and her husband kept the cottage absolutely pristine.”

We have never been so lucky as to go to somewhere so well equipped. Everything you need was there for you, including a bottle of wine ,chocolates and flowers. The owners were delightful, infact Nerys baked us some cakes and I think my husband has found another tractor enthusiast!!!!! Garden was great for the dogs and plenty of patio furniture for us humans too. All in all, a really comfortable, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely recommend the cottage and its owners especially if you want to get away from it all. Absolutely "spot on". Rose and Colin maddock.

“This is a wonderful, clean and fully equipped little cottage, has ample parking, a very secure garden and luxurious comfy beds.”

This property has clearly been thought about by its owners Nerys and Dewi. There is a beach, 15 minutes drive away, which is great for running the dogs (after 30th Sept), and small aircraft museum too. Supermarket in Porthmadog - 6 miles drive. Snowdon approximately 15 miles away if you're looking to experience walking in the mountains. This cottage is on a busy road, which I hadn't appreciated, however road noise is minimal and not really and issue, although the frequent the cattle market opposite, can make it difficult to turn out of the property. You couldn't really ask for more - everything to hand.

“I don't think I've ever stayed in such a comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage.”

We rarely eat out during our holidays as it's not that easy with our dog, so having such a well equipped kitchen made a huge difference to me. The added touch of welcome chocolates, flowers and wine was a real delight too. Nerys was a wonderful host and even treated us to some home baking, which was delicious. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and would be wonderful for sitting out and enjoying summer evenings. The location was ideal for accessing all the places we wanted to visit.

Owner lived next door and was lovely. We were greeted as we arrived and there was a bottle of wine, flowers and a box of chocolates waiting for us which we thought was a lovely touch. We had a meal booked at the goat the say we arrived for our anniversary and Nerys kindly gave us a lift to the pub so we could both have a drink. Cottage was immaculate- yes the ceiling in the bedroom was very low but it added to the quirkiness of the place. Garden safely enclosed for the dogs. All I. All a lovely place to stay.

I took my slow cooker, pans and knives (didn't need them). The cottage is quaint and quirky with comfy beds for a restful sleep. Lots of dvds, books, cards, domino's wifi. Nerys and Dewi were lovely hosts giving pointers on local sights and things to do - with flowers, chocolates and wine on arrival being an appreciated touch. A great base with lots of beaches, towns, supermarkets etc close by. The only downside was that we had to leave

The owners, Nerys and Dewi were absolutely lovely, so welcoming and kind, it would be a joy to return just to see them again! We had a fantastic meal at The Goat just down the road and at Dylans in Criccieth, both highly recommended. This was the perfect getaway house for us with our dog, we couldn't have wished for more!

“This little cottage is perfectly provided like home from home.”

It was cosy, warm and living areas spacious as well as outdoor areas for the dogs. Great location only 5 mins drive from everywhere and great walks near by. The owners were pleasant and just let us get on with our stay. The only down side for me was there was no view from the cottage and the low ceilings and door at the rear, I banged my head several times and was walking hunched over whilst upstairs.

The location is perfect if you’re after a quiet break but was still fairly local to amenities. Great location for some of the best walks and lovely beaches close by. I’d definitely recommend this property and would certainly stay again if I come back to the area for another holiday.

The house was in pristine condition, with a nice open kitchen and lounge along with two decent-sized bedrooms. There's a pub just down the road which is great for a meal and the Wi-Fi is really good in the cottage, with a nice space out in the garden for when the weather is nice.

Nerys, the owner, has thought of everything. From my first contact with her, she has been extremely friendly & helpful. She greeted us upon arrival & showed us around. There was a bottle of wine in the fridge, chocolates & fresh flowers to greet us. The cottage was spotlessly clean, the cleanest cottage we have ever stayed in. The best equipped cottage for a holiday. It was perfect & Nerys & her husband Dewi gave us lots of information on the local area. The Llyn Peninsula is stunning, we had fabulous weather with only 1 day where it rained. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough & we will definitely be returning.

“What a great find.”

We have explored most of South Wales as a family but wantes to go North Wales this time. With over a 6 hour drive from Oxfordshire it was definitely worth it. a lovely little, compact house with everything you can ask for and more. We were welcomed with open arms and the owners couldn't do enough for us. The weather held for the majority of the time but we were prepared for it. my dog, loved exploring the beautiful walks that were nearby and the evenings were filled with games and reading in lovely cosy house. I don't normally sleep very well if not in my own bed but the bed was lovely and comfortable i slept really well. We will definitely be back

The owners, Nerys and Dewi, were very friendly and helpful. The cottage itself was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It was clear that considerable thought had gone into what was needed - the kitchen particularly so. The enclosed garden was great for the two dogs as were the two fields at the back. We were very fortunate with the weather and all enjoyed sitting by the stream. The location of the cottage is ideal for exploring the Snowdonia National Park as well as the Lleyn Peninsula. The garden centre and cafe opposite deserve a mention also. Thank you Nerys and Dewi, we had a lovely time.

“Having booked with Sykes Cottages before I know the descriptions about the cottages are usually pretty accurate.”

Where we stayed at Bryncir gave very good access to both mountains and beaches. It is an ideal location for those wishing to walk, cycle, wild swim or have the odd day relaxing at the coast or sightseeing. Long distance cycle path no. 8 passes within 2 minutes cycle ride of the cottage, and there are several good walks within 20minutes drive in every direction. The owners are very helpful, and any problem is dealt with immediately.

Misleading - details say that cottage has its own garden. The one day the weather was good enough for lunch outside, I opened the back door and found that the owner, friends and dogs had taken it over. Quite annoying. Details should also warn about location a busy main road.

This delightful stone-built, semi-detached barn conversion, attached to the owners own home is set in a lovely courtyard position within the village of Bryncir, on the fringe of the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.

This delightful cottage is ideal for friends, a family or indeed a couple who wish to spend some quality time together.

Combining original character features with modern facilities, this lovely property provides a warm Welsh welcome and a cosy retreat, boasting exposed beams throughout.

Providing sociable open plan living space on the ground floor there is a very well-appointed kitchen and breakfast bar, dining area with foldaway table and chairs and a comfortable sitting area with cosy sofas and a warming electric wood burning effect stove.

Off the kitchen is a modern shower room.

Upstairs, are two delightful, well-appointed bedrooms, the main bedroom boasting a lovely sleigh bed with a twin room across the landing for the children.

There is ample parking in the courtyard and the cottage enjoys its own fully enclosed rear garden with a lovely decked area and seating, providing an ideal place for you to relax and enjoy a glass of something at the end of the day, and providing a great space for the children to play before bedtime!

Perfectly located for exploring this beautiful area of North Wales, with some wonderful walks on the doorstep and some great cycle routes close by.

Criccieth’s sandy beaches and ancient castle are 6 miles away and the popular resorts of Abersoch and Pwllheli are easily reached, all well worth exploring, with many miles of sandy beach and watersport opportunities.

Within driving distance is the Italianate village of Portmeirion, the wonderful Snowdonia National Park, the harbour town of Porthmadog, home of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Steam Railways, and further afield is the Royal town of Caernarfon and the Isle of Anglesey.

There really is something for everyone in North Wales and this wonderful cottage can be enjoyed at any time of the year and provides the perfect base.
