The property

This charming two-bedroom holiday property, Maenllwyd, is tucked away in Borth Y Gest near one of North Wales' most well-known resort towns, Porthmadog.

Maenllwyd, which sleeps four people plus two pets, has a multi-level garden, lovely views of the shoreline, and is close to many local conveniences, making it the perfect launching point for exploring the attractions of the Snowdonia National Park.

Upon entering your new home, you will find a charming living/dining room with dining seating, a woodburning stove, and a Smart TV.

This is the ideal place to relax and unwind after a long day of adventures.

The designated chef can prepare a delicious meal in the kitchen using a variety of appliances, and then you can all sit down to a feast.

Instead, why not venture outside to the multi-level garden, where you may have outdoor meals while the sun sets in the background and toast to a wonderful escape.

After dinner, go inside to the ground-floor shower room to wash the day away.

Then, go upstairs to the two tastefully decorated bedrooms, where you may choose between a double or a bunk room to rest in before continuing on your Welsh schedule.

Start your day by taking a stroll through Porthmadog's centre, where you can stock up on necessities and treat your family to a meal out on days when you don't feel like cooking.

There are also a number of bars and restaurants there.

Visit the Glaslyn Ospreys, brilliant for walkers to view 2 established nests.

Mrs G was first discovered breeding in the Glaslyn nest in 2004 and has since laid over 50 eggs.

Visit the llamas who live nearby at Black Rock Llamas, where you can meet, pet, and even adopt a variety of these adorable creatures.

You can also take a stroll down the Beach Path to Borth y Gest Beach where you can walk to Criccieth and beyond, or practise your swing at the nearby Porthmadog Golf Club.

Visit the Snowdonia National Park to see Harlech Castle, the Sygun Copper Mine, and Beddgelert Forest, or spend the day at Zip World to fly over the surrounding landscape for a more thrilling experience.

Maenllwyd is the ideal starting point for friends and families to discover the wonders of North Wales because it is conveniently located to travel to Barmouth, Abersoch, and Llanberis.

Harlech 5 miles; Caernarfon 19 miles.

The bustling harbour town of Porthmadog lies on the Glaslyn Estuary and enjoys a stunning setting. The gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, Porthmadog is full of individual shops and restaurants, and home to the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland railway where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery, to Blaenau Ffestiniog or Caerforn . The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short walk or drive from the town. The well known and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast.
