Bryn Moelyn Cottage is a beautiful, stone-built cottage resting in the countryside location of Yr Efail near Morfa Nefyn.

With lovely views and characterful interiors, this property is ideal for a family or couples looking for a getaway to Gwynedd.

Park up and be welcomed by the beautiful exterior of this property, entering into a reverse-level property with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor.

Here you will find a simply gorgeous double room with characterful exposed stone walls, stylish furniture, and a contemporary en-suite with an opulent free-standing bath and walk-in shower.

There is also a pretty twin and a separate shower room for your refreshment.

The living spaces can be found on the first floor, and are open-plan, sporting a tastefully outfitted kitchen with exposed stone walls and ample amenities to cater to your culinary needs.

There is also a delightful dining space where guests can indulge in a hearty meal, and the sitting area welcomes you to put your feet up and relax beside the glowing woodburning stove whilst watching a film on Sky TV.

From the first floor, access the rear enclosed patio, a tranquil spot from which you can take in the views, relaxing in the sitting area with alfresco dining or a glass of fizz in the evening whilst you cook on the gas BBQ, or take an indulgent dip in the hot tub.

Alternatively, exit through the rear patio door and explore the house gardens and wonder at the stunning views from the front of the house across to Eryri (Mount Snowdon).

Yr Efail is a rural location resting in Gwynedd, for amenities there are a selection of convenience stores, cafés, and pubs, with options including Y Bryncynan, The Cliffs Restaurant and Bar the famous Ty Coch Inn, and there is also the stunning sandy beach of Traeth Morfa Nefyn, plus a local golf course where you can try out a game or two.

Head over to Pwllheli for more amenities and attractions, discovering eateries, pubs, another lovely beach and watersports facilities.

For avid walkers, there is the option of walks through the Llŷn Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, filled with beautiful beaches and delightful coastal views.

The property is also within reach of the incredible Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, where there are ample watersports facilities, hiking, mountain biking, and wild swimming options, as well as adventure sports at Zip World.

About the location

MORFA NEFYN

Nefyn 1.5 miles; Pwllheli 7 miles; Abersoch 11 miles.

The pretty coastal village of Morfa Nefyn sits atop sweeping cliffs on the north coast of the Llyn Peninsula, and features a fine two-mile stretch of sandy beach, popular with families. Morfa Nefyn, has a garage, a wonderful village shop with a cafe, two pubs and restaurants. The nearby town of Nefyn also offers a selection of shops, post office, pubs and restaurants, and both are within reach of the amenities of the popular towns of Pwllheli, Abersoch and the charming village of Boduan. The coastline around this region is dotted with castles and coves, while fishing, sailing and watersports are all available. The Snowdonia National Park is 25 miles away, with its dramatic scenery and superb walks, and many outdoor activity centers for the more energetic visitors. Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches, cliffs, and wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore. The Llyn Peninsula is itself renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking, and features a 91 mile long section of the Welsh Coastal Path that extends from nearby Porthmadog all the way around the peninsula to Caernarfon on the north coast. Also within easy reach are Portmeirion, the Isle of Anglesey, Caernarfon and Bangor. With its proximity to such a wide range of destinations, Morfa Nefyn makes a superb base for a break.

Note: The Cottage is upside down with bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs with lounge/diner and kitchen upstairs.
Note: The bottom of the A frame beams upstairs are approx 6 ft 4 inches above the floor. The staircase is moderately steep with a 90 degree turn but has a handrail.
Note: There is a ruin adjacent to the Cottage with a small pond behind. Guests are not allowed in this area as it would be trespassing (it does not belong to the owners of the Cottage) and potentially dangerous.
