The property

Llandyfrydog 2.3 miles.

On the outskirts of Llannerch-y-medd, a village in Anglesey, is this quaint dormer bungalow, Glan Gors.

Boasting sweeping views of the surrounding hills and lake, this property would be ideal for a family or a group of friends looking to come together in this beautiful rural haven, whilst still being within easy reach of the coast.

After coming down the quiet lane and through the gate, enter through the front door and into the country-style kitchen/diner with exposed stone walls and wood cabinets, creating a traditional and homely feel, where you can enjoy your morning coffee at the breakfast bar as you decide what the day’s activities will be.

The dining table offers a lovely space to join together in the evening while you tuck into a family-favourite meal, and share stories old and new.

On a winters eve, retire to the sitting room on the sofa arrangement and put some logs on the fire in the woodburning stove and you'll be toasty warm.

When sleep calls, there are four delightful bedrooms to choose from; on the ground floor you will find two doubles and a twin room, whilst upstairs there is a further lounge containing a sofa and a desk, leading to the final double room, laid out beautifully with a built in wardrobe, dressing table and chair, and bedside tables, all looking out across the rolling hills.

Take in the sun on the patio and watch the little ones run about on the large lawned garden, and embrace the tranquillity of being in this amazing secluded spot away from any reminders of a hectic city life.

Not far from Llannerch-y-medd is Anglesey's largest lake, Llyn Alaw reservoir, with two bird hides, three picnic sites and a network of paths to ramble along, and for those keen anglers the lake supports a recreational trout fishery for which fishing permits are available.

For some seaside fun, travel over to Benllech beach, one of the island's most popular beaches with fine golden sand and clear blue waters, you'd think you were in the south of France, and at low tide the sand stretches for miles so there's plenty of space to play or stroll along.

Glan Gors will be a home-from-home where you can enjoy a quiet, secluded break, with some fantastic days out to Anglesey's best attractions.

Benllech and Moelfre, on the east coast are 7 miles away; Snowdonia 25 miles.
The former market town of Llanerchymedd is located in the heart of picturesque Anglesey, providing a gateway to the superb beaches around the coastline. Llanerchymedd was once home to a thriving cobblers’ industry with over 250 shoemakers in the town and numerous corn mills to provide food for the cobblers and also to supply the traders at the market. The village now offers a smaller community feeling, with two village pubs and the old station cafe serving food, a small village shop, chip shop and launderette, which should provide for most of your daily needs. The freshwater reservoirs of Llyn Cefni and Llyn Alaw offer an attractive circular walk and numerous country paths. Closeby is Mynydd Bodafon Mountain, a picturesque beauty spot to enjoy picnics and walks. Moelfre and Benllech are the nearest coastal villages on the east coast. Moelfre is a delightful fishing village, boasting little cottages, a picturesque pebbled beach, a working lifeboat station and two quality pubs and restaurants. There are stunning sandy beaches nearby at Benllech, Lligwy and the lovely Red Wharf Bay, with its miles of open sands and birdlife. Within these areas there are many eateries for you to choose from. A perfect location for travelling around this lovely island and throughout beautiful Snowdonia.
