    “We really enjoyed this property and would definitely recommend it to others.”

    It was comfortable, well equipped (particularly in the kitchen), clean, spacious and very well situated in Betws-y-Coed. We were just 2 people, so we had loads of space and did not need/use the downstairs at all. The showers were very good, the beds OK (master mattress a little soft), everything worked well in the kitchen plus 2nd fridge was handy. Laundry machines (both washer & dryer) were great. We made many of our dinners at home and found the kitchen was well enough equipped to support ...

The property

Tucked away behind St Mary's Church in the centre of Betws-y-Coed is this beautiful bungalow holiday home, Bryn Elsi, boasting homely interiors and set in a fantastic location.

This four-bedroom abode is spread over the ground and lower-ground floor, and just a short stroll from the many delights of the ‘Gateway to Eryri (Snowdonia)’ as the village is known.

Discover a spacious sitting room to unwind in after a busy day outdoors; light the woodburning stove in here and relish watching a favourite film or show on the large Smart TV surrounded by your loved ones spread across the soft seating.

Get lost in a good book while in the lovely conservatory, perfect for sipping a morning coffee, whilst the dining room can host fresh family breakfasts and hearty evening meals for all the group, with a long table seating all.

The kitchen and utility room boast all the appliances you need on a self-catered stay between them, with a gas cooker, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Access the beautiful upper patio area from the conservatory to enjoy drinks and alfresco dining, whilst down the stone steps the lawn below is perfect for the little ones to run around on, and a second patio decking area provides another peaceful seating spot.

Reach the lower-ground-floor king-size bedroom from the garden with a door giving direct access, with a bunk room also on this floor, whilst the ground floor is home to a twin bedroom, the master king-size bedroom boasting an en-suite shower room, and the family bathroom.

This wonderfully private location is just a few steps from the forest paths leading up behind the church, with a lovely walk leading up into the forest towards the glittering waters of Llyn Elsi, a perfect start to your exploration of this scenic setting right on your doorstep.

Enjoy dining in the many local cafés and restaurants, along with sipping refreshing drinks in the friendly watering holes, with lots of shops to browse too for essentials, ingredients and souvenirs.

Get out on your bikes and head to Gwydir Forest Park with cycling trails, old miners' paths and walking routes aplenty, keeping an eye out for the local wildlife while admiring the enchanting forest scenery, with the beautiful Rhaedr Ewynnol or Swallow Falls being a must-see!

Feel the thrill of speeding through the air on a zip-line at Zip World Fforest, also home to treetop rope courses and a Fforest Coaster, or travel further north to try out the impressive inland surf lagoon of Surf Eryri (Snowdonia)!

More waterfalls await along the River Conwy at Fairy Falls and Rhaedr Y Graig Lwyd, as well as the incredible Go Below Underground Adventures.

This walkers’ and cyclists' paradise is teeming with excellent, although challenging, routes with plenty of mountains and peaks in the surrounding area to tackle, along with the highest of them all, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).

Betws-y-Coed, known as the Gateway to Eryri (Snowdonia), is North Wales' most popular inland resort.
