The property

Nestled in the heart of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey, Bwthyn Heddwch is a characterful holiday cottage set in a wonderful, Grade II-listed, stone-fronted building.

Bursting at the seams with character this property is set across three floors and boasts stone walls, exposed beams as well as a well-appointed king-size bedroom and a close proximity to Beaumaris’s coast.

Begin your adventure on the Isle of Anglesey after parking up in the off-road parking and crossing the threshold into Bwthyn Heddwch.

You’ll be greeted by a kitchen/diner, home to an AGA, as well as all of the appliances you need to cook up a storm.

After rustling up dinner, catch up on the day’s adventure at the dining table or sit outside to dine alfresco at the patio’s table and chairs.

Marvel as the sun sets over Beaumaris with a glass of wine in hand before venturing back inside and up to the first floor where you can wash off the day in the shower room and unwind in front of the roaring open fire in the sitting room.

When the day draws to a close, head to the second floor to slope off to sleep in the king-size bed.

In the morning, venture into the centre of Beaumaris which is home to countless shops where you can stock up on essentials and restaurants where you can enjoy an evening out.

History lovers will be in their element in Beaumaris thanks to Beaumaris Gaol and Court as well as the magnificent, 13th-century Beaumaris Castle.

This seaside town also boasts a beautiful beach where on sunny days you can bask in the sun.

Regular sea safaris also run from the town allowing you to take to the water and admire the wildlife on Anglesey’s coast; keep your eyes peeled for puffins and even seals!

Keen walkers are also in luck as Bwthyn Heddwch lies close to Anglesey’s coast path which spans an impressive 140 miles all the way around the island.

About the location

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.

Note: 2 dogs welcome at £30 per dog - Payment direct to owner on arrival.
Note: There is a pop up bead available in the property for a child to stay if required, there will be no extra cost for this.
Note: There is a good housekeeping bond of £100 on this property.
