“It was a shame to see the lovely kitchen was not as pristine as it was, some doors and draws no longer match the rest of the kitchen, not a good look.”

Dressing table in twin room has also been damaged, so sad. The main shower stopped working on Sunday night, we left a note for the cleaner so hopefully they will pass the information onto the manager/owner? We book this accommodation twice every year, so wondering if we should next year unless it will all be repaired up to a good standard?

Hi Nigel New kitchen cupboard doors etc were ordered June 24 with installation mid August 24. The goods etc were delivered short of certain items. Only recently have those items been made available and are being installed 23/24 October 24. A new fridge and freezer have also been installed. The dressing table in twin room has been damaged and has been patched. Will probably have to have a new top! The main shower has been fixed-a fuse! Thanks for leaving a note for the housekeeper. We will be visiting Harbour View 23/24 to check over the property and ensure the kitchen is fully installed. Should certainly be in shipshape post October 24!!! The TV instructions are hopeless and extremely frustrating to sort out. The outside key system needs replacing. But regardless of all this, we love the situation and the apartment. This was our second visit and hopefully we will return.

Hello Elwyn We are aware of the external decoration. We (as in all 4 flats) have approached builders for quotes etc-not yet forthcoming!! You only give 25% for accuracy of the listing, it would be helpful to us if you would let us know where we fell short The TV instructions though frustrating are correct! Not aware anything wrong with the key system. There is an outside key safe similar to many other properties. Please let us or the agents know what the issue was. Hello Geoff Unfortunately, no electric shaver point. Rechargeable/battery shavers appear to be the desired ones. All large windows open. The right hand lounge window has a bolt at the top and bottom-the mechanism had been removed pre our purchase. Surprised that the frames and surrounds were dirty. Will liaise with the housekeepers! “Generally very good.”

Comfortable with high standard fittings, chairs, beds, crockery, floors etc. Some aspects slightly worn, kitchen cabinet fronts, main bathroom fixture seals etc., but to be expected and not detrimental. Setting up the TV was a trial, but luckily we had our own firestick with us. Neighbours above slightly heavy on the floor. Opening the windows during the day necessary, but very noisy traffic from main busy road through Abersoch. Also occasional late night drunken youths took their time leaving the area. Again par for the course. Entrance and exit from car parking needs care, be aware of one way system. Overall, very happy.

Also, the shower cubicle is to be resealed at the same time. Unfortunately, upstairs has wooden flooring, and at times it’s a bit noisy. Traffic and merry people, as you say, par for the course! Could have done with a wine bottle stopper and espresso coffee cups but I think you provided everything else that we needed and more 2nd visit at this time of year and would love to return to the property again. Amazing views overlooking the harbour and fantastic central village location.

Hello Sally, Not sure what the black marks were in the ensuite. Possibly the seal discoloured. Our housekeeper does a fantastic job so assume as mentioned. The ensuite will be no longer as from 1st October 2024. Problem being the shower door is not firmly closed when shower is used and the flooring needs maintenance. Wine bottle stoppers unfortunately walk! We are constantly replacing them when we visit Abersoch. No expresso coffee cups-we don’t have an expresso coffee machine. We love the views and location, very convenient for the village-especially the pubs and restaurants. So pleased you had an enjoyable break at Harbour View. Paul & Carole Property Owner

Well equipped with some very nice items, comfortable beds and a parking space which is a big plus in Abersoch. The weather was good but with the views it would be a nice place to stay even in bad weather.

“This was our second visit to Harbour view.”

New sofas were lovely and providing towels are a great improvement. Weather not as great as last year so we took opportunity to explore a bit more outside Abersoch. We love how dog friendly everywhere was, Harbour beach is our favourite as our dog had freedom to run around. Also the convenience of shops/restaurants literally a minute walk from the apartment. New places we ate at this year were The potted Lobster, be warned had to book 4 weeks in advance though, and the Lost sheep which is great for steaks. Overall if you want a holiday were you can just chill out and watch the world go by or love beaches and mountains, this area of North Wales has it all. We have booked again for next year, even though it took us 8 hours to drive here. PS. note for owner, my husband has requested if you could supply beer pint glasses - thank you

Love the location near beaches,pubs and restaurants. New suite is a big upgrade. TV control was difficult to work out and needed new batteries, but that's a minor niggle.

“This is probably our favourite holiday home ever.”

It has a super king bed (with no footboards-a necessity with tall people), PLUS a comfy NEW sofa! Sooo many sofas are old and uncomfortable and this was a bit of a worry from the pictures - bad backs and old sofas don’t go - the new sofas are comfy - lovely after a day out. Great views, well equipped and quiet. The website needs updating as towels are now provided. A great property find!

Apartment was amazing, better then the pictures on the website! really spacious, beds really comfortable and view from windows was fantastic. Minute walk from shops and pubs. We took our dog and found apartment very dog friendly, he loved his walks along Harbour beach everyday. Most pubs, restaurants and even shops accepted dogs as well which was great. Parking space was very convenient. We have booked again for next year and can't wait to come back :)

“Excellent property in fabulous central location.”

The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need.we have booked for next year already.George Foreman grill saves faffing about with the oven. Only gripe is some of the information is out of date. Bin's put out Tuesday evenings not Saturday as per the 2015 notice on the inside of the kitchen cupboard door. Contradictory info on leaving the bedding. Small niggles as we loved the place. We have stayed in many apartments around the country and this is up there with the best. Credit to the owner.

Well fitted kitchen with appliances. The bed is huge and the ensuite is a welcome addition. My only real criticism is the sofa. Really low and I struggled to get comfy and to get on and off. Otherwise great accommodation.

Its a lovely property & in an ideal location. Our only comment would be that the leather corner unit has very low backs & is just really uncomfortable. Maybe just two 2 seater higher back settees would be better. Apart from thats,everythings really good.

It’s a very comfortable apartment that was pretty much as advertised. We would return if we ever needed to stay in Abersoch. If the hosts supplied towels we would have given them 10 out of 10, as it was slightly annoying to being our own.

The only thing I would mention is to get a better smart tv in the lounge and we had problems with the DVD player not working properly, but that was minor we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. Thank you.

“The property is very well equipped (I've never seen one so well equipped) and was very clean.”

My only minor quibbles were - the TV in the sitting room could have been newer/bigger but was adequate. The sofa was big but not terribly comfortable (we kept sliding off it) and the en-suite shower room was a bit cramped. We couldn't keep the shower door tightly shut so a lot of water ended up on the en-suite floor. We only used it the once because of that. These are minor points, the accommodation overall was excellent.

Harbour View, a stunning first-floor apartment located above a surf shop in Abersoch, overlooks Harbour Beach.

The Llyn Peninsula's gorgeous coast is just a short drive away from this home's open-plan interior, which has been finished to a high degree.

A tan 3 and 2 seater sofa that can accommodate the entire family is situated in front of a Freeview TV in the living room awaits you once you have parked up and unloaded your bags with ease.

Once you pass through the archway, you'll find the kitchen, which is decked out in a colour scheme of mint, turquoise, and mocha.

Make plans for the adventures ahead while tucking into a delicious meal prepared by the foodie in your party.

Open the windows so you can take in the stunning beach views below from a higher vantage point.

Catch your rest in one of two bedrooms, the other is a twin room, which is ideal for children.

The shower area, which is tiled from head to toe, features a glass shower cubicle where you can rinse off after a day at the beach.

The patio of the apartment is a great place to relax and read a good book while basking in the sun.

You can rent a boat at Harbour Beach or continue along the coast to Abersoch Main Beach, where you can surf; the community also has numerous bars, two well-stocked convenience stores, and independent businesses for you to peruse.

It's possible to spend a day in Llanbedrog, where you may explore the headland, visit a polished art gallery housed in a historic building, and come upon a gorgeous beach adorned with colourful beach huts.

On your way to Pwllheli, stop at the Glan Don Beach Bar at Plas Heli for a drink and watch the sailing activities; cap the day with an evening stroll along Marian-y-de or Glan-y-Don Beach, respectively.

From Aberdaron to Criccieth, the Llyn Peninsula is home to a plethora of towns that are just waiting to be discovered.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
