“We stayed at Glan y Don as a party of 6: 2 grandparents, 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren.”
The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of equipment (apart, strangely, from a pair of scissors!)
The position of the (private) garden is a little awkward. The information on the property makes it clear that the garden is across the street from the cottage. We had children with us aged 8 and 5 and so we knew in advance that, to be safe, we would have to escort the children across whenever we used the garden.
There are steps from the garden down to the river estuary at a point where there are some rather slippery rocks. We preferred to walk along the road a little way to use the public walkway to a sandy beach beyond the mouth of the river. (The main sandy beach is a 15 minute walk away down a road opposite to the Spar.)
As the information says, there is only space in the drive for one car. We had two cars for our party and so we parked one of the cars in the car park spaces on the road. At this point the time limit is 3 hours during the 9 am to 6 pm period. Thus if you park the 'spare' car on the road all day and are unlucky you will get a parking ticket.
Overall, a comfortable cottage, convenient for the restaurants and shops in the centre of the village.
