    “Lovely cottage.”

Good sized rooms. Short walk into the town and to the beach. A note to others: The TV has no freeview box and relies on you streaming internet TV from your devices. It will not connect wirelessly with Apple devices. I had to order a usb-c to HDMI cable from amazon before we could use it with the laptop. Hopefully they will get a freeview box (we scoured charity shops to no avail) So, if you’re an Apple user get a usb-c or lightning connector to HDMI cable or no TV for you. Not the end of the ...

Not the end of the world as you will mostly be out but it does help for rainy days or evenings if you have young children who go to bed early.

The property

Eithinog is a charming, detached, single-storey cottage tucked away on the outskirts of Abersoch.

For a family or group of five, the property is in a superb location on the Llŷn Peninsula, with Aberosch's golden sands within easy reach.

Before entering your home-away-from-home, find space for five cars on the private driveway.

The kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering holiday, including an electric cooker for preparing hot dinners and a washing machine for cleaning sandy towels before the next day.

For added storage, there's a freezer right in the porchway!

Set the table for five and toast to your hideaway, while three sofas await for restful afternoons with your favourite show on the Smart TV.

Summer evenings can be spent in the garden, which has lots of lawn space for picnics and sunbathing while reading a good book.

After a day at the beach, rinse off the sand in the bathroom with the rainfall shower head or relax in the tub; there's also a handy cloakroom with WC right next door.

Three spacious bedrooms, including a double with basin, another double, and a single, provide ample storage and homely settings in which to recuperate before embarking on new adventures.

Pack your towels for Abersoch beach, a pristine spot to soak up the sun, while watersports enthusiasts can windsurf, water ski, or sail across the sparkling sea; venture into Abersoch for plenty of restaurants and pubs to take a break from cooking, as well as convenience stores to stock up on the essentials.

Bring your clubs to Abersoch Golf Club for sea vistas while you practise your swing, head to the nearby Porth Neigwl for some of the best surfing waves, and the Llŷn Peninsula is a hiker's paradise with scenic routes leading to idyllic beaches.

You may spot a variety of birds while hiking along the beautiful coastline, or if you like the hustle and bustle, Pwllheli, with its bustling port, typical seaside amusements, and Traeth Marian-y-de Beach, is just a short drive away.

Traditional Welsh bakeries, a café, and Traeth Aberdaron, an unforgettable beach can be found in the scenic Aberdaron, while the coastal path continues to the end of the peninsula overlooking Ynys Enlli.

For your beach holiday in North Wales, choose Eithinog for a base you'll love returning to again and again.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
