“Lovely place to stay, would be happy to visit again.”

Was able to park where advertised, no problem. The bedding appeared to be feather pillows & duvet, which did trigger allergies a bit (just something to be aware of) and the bed was very creaky. The kitchen was perfect for cooking in during our stay. The local shop was closed while we were there, but we could get supplies from the nearest town. Walking routes we found were well marked. Beautiful place to visit.

This traditional Welsh village stands directly on the edge of the southern part of the Snowdonia National Park. Situated on the banks of the River Dulas and overlooking the wooded slopes of the Dovey Forest, this old slate quarrying village is perfect for mountain biking enthusiasts. The village has a pub and is directly opposite the well-known mountain biking Cli-machX run, as well as the famous Coed-y-Brenin Mountain Bike Centre being nearby. The village also offers the historic Corris narrow gauge railway, an excellent craft centre, the Corris slate mining Explorer’s centre and the exciting King Arthur’s Labyrinth Underground Experience, along with interesting local walks that abound.
