“We had a lovely week in Wales and managed to explore lots of local areas.”

The cottage is in a beautiful location. Just a few things let it down. The cleanliness was below average in comparison to other rentals we have stayed in. The facilities were disappointing in that the WiFi did not work for the latter part of the week and the spa bath didn't work. Several lights didn't work and the remote controls for the various TV's also didn't work. The cooker hood fan also didn't work. Many of the maintenance issues had been reported by previous tennants but nothing had been ...

Many of the maintenance issues had been reported by previous tennants but nothing had been done about them. There was a lot of different kitchen pots/pans etc but a lot were dirty and old which put us off using them. We felt like just a small amount of tlc could really make a difference in this house. The bathroom and kitchen both need to be re-sealed. And a general de-clutter in the whole house as some areas were quite dusty and musty. There was a jigsaw which had missing pieces which was also disappointing and the garden area was cluttered and overgrown. The lounge/dining area was a lovely space and the settee was really comfortable. Later on in the week we discovered some equipment for the beach (body board, skimming board etc) which i think should be advertised as being available, perhaps in a welcome pack and the ability to hang some clothes outside but under cover was also really useful. The shower was a good, powerful shower. There are many good things about this property and the location and we feel it has the potential for so much more. Thank you.

This is a friendly welcoming cottage and though not ultra modern (evident from the description and pictures) it is pretty comfortable. Our plan is for guests to feel at home and welcomed. Our cleaner has cleaned Sykes cottages for many years and the high standard of her work is well recognised by all. If you had issues it is a great pity you did not immediately inform Sykes so that they could be rectified, the number for the cottage manager is also in the information pack and he could have been phoned to help you. Many families appreciate the range of equipment and I agree some of it , like the roasting tins, do not return to their pristine shine after use but the cleaner checks their cleanliness. . Lights and TV remote batteries can go at any time. There are replacement light bulbs and batteries available in the cottage. The manager would install these if you feel uncertain. As a result of a BT failure (not ours) the internet was down but this was rectified at the first possible opportunity and it is up and running now. The cooker hood has been broken somehow and we are in process of getting a new one installed. It feels disruptive to do this job during someone's holiday. With a series of bookings especially over the summer, things can go wrong in any house and we do our best to get them fixed as soon as possible. It is a shame you found so much to complain about, I sincerely hope you enjoyed the good things of which there are plenty. Property Owner

The pretty village of Llanbedr quietly nestles in ancient woodland between The Rhinogs, part of the Snowdonia Mountains, and the stunning golden beaches of the North Wales coastline.
