“Lovely week with probably the best views we’ve had in a holiday rental property.”

The cottage was compact as stated but absolutely fine for the three of us. Very comfortable & the decking & garden was super to sit out in.

The property

Snowdon View is a well-presented, semi-detached stone cottage, enjoying a quiet location in an elevated position down one of the oldest hills, known as Y Llech in the town of Harlech.

This is a delightful property that's perfect for a couple seeking a romantic get away from it all location or a small family looking to explore the area.

This charming cottage has a homely feel and a warm and welcoming ambience.

The sitting room, with an intimate dining area, has a lovely fireplace with warming woodburning stove and there's a patio door taking you onto a decked balcony with amazing views of the mountains, the Llyn Peninsula and across the countryside.

A modern and well-equipped, but compact kitchen caters for all your needs, and two well-appointed bedrooms and a bathroom complete this lovely cottage.

The cosy double bedroom enjoys the same fantastic views as the sitting room while the second bedroom, with a bunk bed, is ideal for children.

The raised decked balcony is just perfect for alfresco dining or simply a wonderful tranquil place to sit and relax after a long day walking on the mountains or day on the beach.

Steps lead down to a lower garden area which is grassed and is great for children to have a kick about.

The end of the garden offers a picnic dining area and additional seating from where you can admire Harlech Castle a mere breath away, plus there's a sheltered area under the decking providing storage for bikes, kayaks and canoes - access to be arranged with property owner.Walks are in abundance from this delightful cottage and a visit to the Harlech Castle and visitors' centre is a must.

Harlech offers a good selection of independent shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, along with a magnificent sandy beach and just over a mile away is the famous Royal St. David's Golf Club, one of the finest links courses.

Barmouth, Porthmadog, and the world-famous Italianate village and gardens of Portmeirion are all within easy access.

This superb cottage provides an excellent Snowdonia base.

Refurbishment taking place in January 2021.
