“Perfect cosy cottage with everything you could think of , a real home from home !”

ah the welcome pack of milk ,tea and Welsh cakes with butter and honey jam were a nice surprise. The owner’s attention to detail is exemplary and would highly recommend , with a local village shop less than 100 metres away , 7 till late everyday , village pub with great food over the bridge what more do you need with walks in every direction . Parking plentiful be it not immediately outside the front door which is the norm with terrace properties , Thank you to Pete and Lynn.

“The cottage is lovely and clean and well maintained and has all the facilities needed to self cater if desired.”

It is in a cracking position in the village of Llanbedr near to all amenities and pubs etc. However, there is a price to pay for this accessibility in terms of parking. There is parking on the road opposite the cottage on a first come, first served basis and usually you can get in somewhere along that road but not always. This can be problematic when arriving with all your luggage and shopping so just be prepared. There is a train station and also a campsite further down this road, which creates a lot of traffic in peak periods when they arrive and depart or are going out for the day. Again, it is something that can be worked around and did not detract from our very pleasant stay. The cottage is very well equipped as described in the listing and we wanted for nothing during our stay. Getting out to all the various seaside locations and local villages is easy with nothing being too far away for a day trip - we enjoyed several great days out. The garden is a bonus in the good weather and allows you to eat outside ‘al fresco’ which we did a couple of times. At night the village is quiet and you get a peaceful nights sleep in both the bedrooms. I would recommend the cottage for a good all round self catering holiday in a lovely friendly village with a couple of great pubs and the super local shop, which really does stock everything!!

“Beautiful park of the country .”

Y Bwthyn is an amazing cottage set in a fabulous village surrounded by hills river And trains .The cottage is well equipped all modern under floor heating new carpets great kitchen appliances. The photos on the walls in all rooms are great . Loved this cottage the garden was lovely to sit outside in the sunshine We had a fabulous walk up the river to the near by waterfalls and the same day on a beautiful beach . Pete & Lynn had great communications with us during our stay . The cottage was in need of nothing . 2 beautiful bedrooms both with toilets and shower the double room with bath also . Thank-you so much for letting us stay in you're fabulous cottage . We would love to return . 5 stars all round ✨️ Our 2 dogs were very welcomed with a great welcome pack

“Excellent under floor heating was an issue did not seem to work but really did not effect us it was not cold.”

In general it was an excellent few days, the rest of the house was first class the position is fab. you can walk to 3 local pubs so no need to drive at night plenty of walks in the local area.Sykes did a very good job in making our stay one to remember thank you Andrew Quest

“A truly beautiful cottage in a wonderful setting.”

The cottage was 5 star. It was nicely decorated with modern underfloor heating and 2 great sized bedrooms both with ensuite facilities. The garden was perfect for the dog, lovely and sunny even during early spring. The setting was beautiful. 3 pubs close by. Great transport links if you want to get about without the car. The surrounding area and beaches offer so many different adventures. Perfect for walking and exploring. We had a perfect break.

You open the front door to the sound of the river rushing along outside, and the shop and pubs in the village were very convenient. We loved being cosy round the wood fire in the evenings. Kitchen had everything we needed. We had a really lovely stay here and would definitely recommend!

The property

This wonderful end-terrace cottage is situated in the centre of the village of Llanbedr, opposite the River Artro, close to both Harlech and Barmouth in the Snowdonia National Park.

Ideal for a couple, small family or three friends, this delightful holiday home is an ideal base with many places to visit nearby.

After parking up, you enter this lovely cottage into an inviting sitting room with a warming woodburning stove and then onto a light and airy kitchen/diner, equipped with all you could need for a memorable self-catering stay.

From here are patio doors out onto a raised garden with AstroTurf and slate patio area.

Up on the first floor are two charming bedrooms, a double and a twin, both of which have access to their own contemporary en-suites, one with bath and shower over, and the other with a shower.

The village of Llanbedr has shops and two pubs, as well as offering bike hire, mountain walks and it’s also situated next to the dunes of a nature reserve and so a variety of wildlife can be seen.

Just three miles away is the town of Harlech, which is well worth a visit with its wonderful castle and golf course, and both the resorts of Barmouth and Fairbourne are within reach.

Travelling the other way will take you to Italianate village of Portmeirion, and the whole of the National Park can be explored with many walking and cycling routes, as well as venturing to the top of Mount Snowdon.

Your adventure to North Wales begins at Y Bwthyn.

The pretty village of Llanbedr quietly nestles in ancient woodland between The Rhinogs, part of the Snowdonia Mountains, and the stunning golden beaches of the North Wales coastline. Situated next to the beautiful River Artro, and boasting a mild climate due to its unusual positioning behind the high dunes of a nature reserve, this charming village has an exciting array of wildlife and birds, handy local shops, bike hire and mountain walks on your doorstep, as well as two excellent pubs. The small town of Harlech is just 3 miles away and boasts the World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle, a majestic 13th century stronghold, the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I. Popular with golfers due to its famous Royal St. David's course, Harlech also boasts an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants and the most magnificent six-mile long sandy beach, perfect for wonderful walks and family fun. Nearby Barmouth offers the amazing Panorama Walk along the beautiful Mawddach Estuary, providing breathtaking vistas, which were described by John Ruskin as “the most sublime view in Europe” and also a harbour from which you can catch a ferry to Fairbourne for a ride on the miniature railway, or a boat trip out to sea to try mackerel fishing.
