    Easy walk into Fairbourne. Although just off the main road there is very little traffic noise. Excellently located for exploring the area.

The property

This superb detached barn conversion has so much charm, character and appeal, and is a truly wonderful holiday cottage.

Offering upside down accommodation with two bedrooms on the ground floor which are stylish in design, with the master bedroom benefiting from a fantastic en-suite wet room with an unusual arched ceiling, whilst the second bedroom has the use of the family bathroom.

The underfloor heating maintains an even temperature throughout the ground floor.

The open turned handcrafted oak staircase leads up to the open plan living area with high ceilings.

The well-equipped oak kitchen has a large range and island and a comfy dining area, great for social gatherings or a family meal together, and the comfy sitting area has a lovely woodburning stove, perfect for those cooler months.

A sofa bed in the sitting room also offers sleeping flexibility for the occasional guest.

All in all a wonderful cottage in a beautiful part of North Wales to be enjoyed all year round.

These beautiful cottages have been sympathetically refurbished and individually designed by the careful conversion of 19th century barns. They can be booked individually or larger groups could book the three cottages together for those special occasions when the whole family can get together and celebrate a special birthday or anniversary. Situated just a twenty minute walk to the two mile stretch of a Blue Flag beach and surrounded by open farmland with a backdrop of woodland these delightful cottages provide the ideal base. The cottages are furnished with modern living in mind with WiFi and electric heating throughout, as well as fantastic character features, such as exposed stone, high pitched beamed ceilings and woodburning stoves, whilst great care has been taken to ensure there is everything you could need to ensure you have a comfortable stay and a wonderful holiday. There is private off road parking and each cottage has a paved courtyard area for you to enjoy, finish that book you’ve always been promising to, or simply take in the scenery. There are numerous short walks from the cottages and the beach is about a twenty minute walk away. Visit the Blue Lake, a very deep, clear blue pool in a mysterious cavern, which occupies high ground in the old Golwern Slate Quarry above Fairbourne. You are ideally placed to explore the mountains of Snowdonia, being in the shadow of the striking Cader Idris, and the area offers numerous outdoor activities such as pony trekking on the local beaches. The popular market town of Dolgellau is less than ten miles away and Barmouth, with lovely shopping and a regal harbour is just a three mile walk across the estuary bridge or a fourteen mile drive. This is a wonderful location for the perfect family holiday, all year round.

Fairbourne is a seaside village in the Snowdonia National Park, which nestles between the beautiful Cambrian Mountains and Barmouth Bay. This coastal village rests beside a huge sandy beach, perfect for family fun and watersports. It is also home to the Fairbourne nature reserve. The well-known town of Barmouth, with its pubs, restaurants and beautiful beach, is only ten minutes away by train, or why not take a leisurely walk over the well-known Victorian Barmouth Railway Bridge with stunning views of Mawddach Estuary. The whole region offers excellent walks, mountain biking and watersports, boasts a variety of wild flowers, and is home to many species of birds that flock to the area's sheltered beaches and rock pools. Discover Dolgellau and delightful Aberdovey, and visit the magnificent sights of medieval Harlech Castle, Portmeirion Italianate Village and the wonderful Snowdonia National Park, all within a short drive.
