“Oh my goodness what a gem this is.”

The cottage is as pretty as the picture and more. The decor, eye for detail ,home soft furnishings along with the decorative elements make this cottage so pretty, warm and cozy. Wonderful welcome touches for us and our golden retriever Harry which were very much appreciated. Dinas Mawddry is a wonderful base from which to explore. For our anniversary on Wednesday we went to Barmouth and had fish and chips from The Mermaid

Located in a quiet setting Siskin Cottage provides a perfect base for a couple, friends or a family looking to enjoy the stunning surrounding scenery and wonderful walks.

Lovingly restored and maintained to a very good standard, this wonderful cottage is full of charm and rustic character with some lovely original features, such as stripped wood flooring, slate floors, ledge and brace doors, exposed stonework and decorative cast iron fireplaces, including the old cooking range in the kitchen.

The first floor bedroom has a comfy double bed and the spacious bathroom boasts a lovely white traditional period style suite including a double-ended bath, so you can enjoy a soak and ease those aching muscles after a day of walking in the mountains.

From the landing is a wonderful spiral staircase which takes you to a charming twin bedded room with exposed stonework and sloping ceilings.

Outside, with a backdrop of hillside scenery, the cottage courtyard garden enjoys the morning sun and the covered veranda and slate flagged patio with seating is the ideal place to sit and relax, ending the day off perfectly with a glass of something cold!
