    “The bothi is an ideal base for walking the Welsh hills and mountains.”

    Arenig fawr is a mountain a short distance from the cottage and is fantastic walk. The cottage also offer's fishing on your doorstep. Looking forward to the next visit.

Wonderful views encompassing the Arenig mountain range can be enjoyed from the patio, and there are walks in abundance from the cottage, including a Celtic castle ruin on the top of Carndochan Mountain, just a ten minute walk away.

The nearby river provides some great fishing, which can be arranged directly with the cottage owner and the historic market town of Bala offers a good choice of shops and eating establishments and is excellent for water sports, including the National White Water Centre and renowned mountain biking at Coed-y-Brenin is only 12 miles away.

This is a beautiful cottage located in a peaceful setting yet close to attractions; providing a perfect base for couples anytime of the year.

Bala 5 miles; Dolgellau 13 miles.

The traditional Welsh village of Llanuwchllyn is situated 5 miles from the popular town of Bala, at the southern end of Bala Lake, the largest natural body of water in Wales. The village offers a pub (with shop) serving excellent food, along with a petrol station, but is best known as the headquarters of the narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway, which provides a 9 mile scenic journey along the shores of the famous lake. The bustling market town of Bala is nearby and lies within the Snowdonia National Park at the head of Llyn Tegid, Bala’s famous lake which is the largest natural lake in Wales. It is renowned as a centre for great watersports including fishing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and whitewater rafting. The town itself is steeped in history and has a range of interesting shops, inns, restaurants and an historical Town Walk. Surrounded by the wonderful Berwyn Mountains, this is a mecca for walking, cycling and other outdoor activities. An ideal location for touring North and Mid Wales including the stunning North Wales Heritage Coast and all the attractions of Snowdonia National Park.
