    “The perfect property for a relaxing break.”

    Breath taking scenery and very remote without feeling isolated. The house was very clean and well kept. We did have a few flies the first evening but nothing that caused a problem. The hot tube took some work to heat up but once it did we never left it! We will definitely be back.

Surrounded by gorgeous vistas on the edges of Mallwyd near Dinas Mawddwy, North Wales, is this fabulous, detached, single-storey hut of Nant yr Esgair.

Enjoying a fairy-style layout, resting within a grassy mound, Nant yr Esgair also offers gorgeous open-plan accommodation, making for a lovely retreat for a couple or group of four.

Upon arrival, you'll be relieved to uncover three off-road parking spots as well as remote surroundings boasting a mixture of countryside and mountain scenery!

After taking in the sights, make your way inside to find an open-plan living space, where a corner sofa allows you to lounge in front of the Smart TV after a busy day; the sofa is positioned in front of the glass doors, so you can continue to savour the views from the comfort of the hut.

Progress to the kitchen, a compact but well-equipped space, where all you need to rustle up tasty meals can be found, including an electric cooker.

These meals can be tucked into at the breakfast bar or out in the private garden's sheltered decking; afterward, why not enjoy a soothing dip in the oak barrel hot tub?

When night falls, make your way to the welcoming King bedroom; the sitting area's sofa opens out to become a double sofa bed, for added flexibility.

In the morning, soak up in the contemporary shower room's walk-in cubicle before drying off with a toasty towel from the heated rail and venturing out to explore the area.

The Huts

The Huts consist of a quirky selection of two huts tucked away in grassy mounds, surrounded by breath-taking scenery on the outskirts of Mallwyd near Dinas Mawddwy, North Wales. This collection offers tastefully furnished open-plan accommodation, off-road parking and private outdoor spaces boasting sheltered decking with seating and a wood-fired, oak barrel hot tub, making it a wonderful base for small families of four or couples looking for something opulent yet unique for their North Wales getaway. The surroundings enjoy an idyllic brook running by, along with a range of peaks resting on the southern part of Snowdonia National Park; hikes can be enjoyed up the summit of Pen Llyn Coch-hwyad as well as along the Llyn Coch-hwyad waterfall walk. An attractive, single-street village surrounded by beautiful countryside and overlooked by the wonderful Aran Mountains, in the southern part of Eryri (Snowdonia0 National Park. There is a pub in the village and a number of others close by and the Meirion Woollen Mill stands on the banks of the River Dovey and is open to visitors. The delightful town of Dolgellau, which nestles beside the foothills of one of the most spectacular mountains in Wales, Cader Idris, is only 10 miles away and its 17th Century bridges, church and variety of pubs and eating houses create a pleasant atmosphere. This whole area is a paradise for walkers, climbers, birdwatchers and bikers amidst all of Eryri (Snowdonia) and the nearby Coed-y-Brenin Forest with its famous mountain bike trails.
