“I had not grasped the scale of the steps - uneven slate and particularly dangerous when being pulled down by a dog.”

No need for a gym. Property bijou but fine, though hall a little narrow when the dog permanently blocks it. Corris a lovely village. Pub and cafe well worth visiting. Also the steam railway and the Italian 'village'.

Many thanks for your comments. We do try to be as transparent as possible with information about the steps, mentioning them in both the advert bullet point and showing them on the advert picture along with a picture of the hall so guests can see them before booking our property and we are sorry if the layout didn't suit you on this occasion. We're pleased you enjoyed Corris and the lovely local sightseeing. Thank you the top cleanliness and comfort scores, much appreciated. Property Owner

About the location

CORRIS

Machynlleth 6 miles; Aberdovey 15 miles.

This traditional Welsh village stands directly on the edge of the southern part of the Snowdonia National Park. Situated on the banks of the River Dulas and overlooking the wooded slopes of the Dovey Forest, this old slate quarrying village is perfect for mountain biking enthusiasts. The village has a pub and is directly opposite the well-known mountain biking Cli-machX run, as well as the famous Coed-y-Brenin Mountain Bike Centre being nearby. The village also offers the historic Corris narrow gauge railway, an excellent craft centre, the Corris slate mining Explorer’s centre and the exciting King Arthur’s Labyrinth Underground Experience, along with interesting local walks that abound. Discover Cadair Idris, the second highest mountain in Wales, dine or swim at Tal-y-llyn lake, or explore Castell y Bere which is settled amongst picture-perfect rolling green fields. Further afield are the beautiful white sands of Aberdyfi, Barmouth and Ynyslas, along with the stunning mountain ranges of the Rhinogs. Discover The Tarrens, probably the best ridge walk in Wales, as well as the wonderful mountain of Aran Fawddwy close by. Enjoy a good day out on the Tal-y-Llyn Railway and at the delightful harbour village of Aberdovey with its variety of pubs and restaurants, lovely sandy beach and golf course.
