Needless to say dogs are welcome guests at the cottage.

Step into your tranquil home-away-from-home, complete with exposed beams, hardwood floors, and inglenook fireplace.

There is a woodburning stove for cosy evenings in the living room and a conservatory to sit and enjoy the view of the garden.

The kitchen/diner is well equipped and has a dining table for 6, perfect for family meals and board games.

There is an oil fired rayburn and a lovely view onto the cottage garden and the woods beyond it.

The garden is a true cottage garden which explodes into life in the spring and is a magical place for all ages to enjoy.

Nothing is more relaxing than sitting in the garden listening to the sound of the rivers watching red kites fly overhead, but it is also a great base to explore all that the stunning Eryri National Park has to offer both locally and further afield.

For nature lovers and adventurers the cottage is in the Coed Aber Artro woodland at the foot of the Rhinog mountains.

These are ancient and beautiful ecosystems, with an abundance of wildlife.

You can walk through the woods and along the river to the village where you can treat yourself to a meal at The Ty Mawr or The Victoria.

Llandanwg, Harlech, Dyffryn Ardduwy and Barmouth beaches are all within a few miles or you could venture into Harlech to visit the Castle, or the ice cream shop.

There is just so much to explore and when you return to Gandwr you have 2 king sized beds and a large single to choose from to recharge your batteries ready for another day of memory making.

Take that short drive to Barmouth for a seaside stroll along Barmouth Pier and Mawddach Estuary, before admiring nature’s finest colours through Coed Orielton Woods.
