The position, quiet but close to the town centre, was excellent, with the bakery and the lovely deli two minutes away. Dolgellau is a great base for exploring this beautiful part of Wales. Minor niggles: the fixed shower head was fine but the other one kept slipping (so we did a temporary fix with a tie-wrap). Perhaps a deep-clean in the cottage’s nooks and crannies would deal with cobwebs and “grubby bits”. Old houses are tricky, we know. The oven could do with de-greasing too (we only used it for heating croissants etc), but the rest of the kitchen was immaculate. Nice to have off-road parking but beware of the metal posts! We’d definitely choose this cottage again.
