    “Overall the cottage was very good.”

    Description was accurate. The cottage was clean, well presented and comfortable. Kitchen was quite well equipped, only 2 dinner plates although 4 of everything else. If you're taking your dog make sure to take bowls etc as none available at the property. Unlike other cottages we have stayed there was no welcome pack and milk would have been very useful on arrival. We had difficulty locating the cottage, not realising it was tucked down a gated courtyard. There was no lighting in the courtyard, ...

We always carry torches so had to retrieve those to walk through the courtyard to the cottage. We also kept these to hand when arriving back after a day out. We would stay again, as the town is on the doorstep and the cottage is in a great location for lots of amazing walks and not too far (10 miles) to the sandy beach.

This small, beautiful market town is located in the heart of southern Snowdonia, between the imposing Cader Idris mountain range and the sea. It’s a superb base for a holiday - perfect for combining the many outdoor pursuits on offer in Snowdonia with relaxing days out on the soft sandy beaches of Barmouth, Fairbourne and Aberdovey. The town itself offers a good selection of shops, five pubs and a wine bar, along with a number of excellent restaurants, cafes and two bakeries, that produce fresh bread and cakes each day.
