Enjoying the beautiful sandy coast to one side and the mountainous terrain of Snowdonia to the other, Barmouth is a perfect mix of coast and countryside, with Glan Meon Cottage being ideal for a couple.

Once you have found this hidden Barmouth gem, step inside and be welcomed into the open-plan living space, with exposed timber beams holding up the high ceiling, and a mezzanine level home to the king size bedroom reached by a ladder, it's a unique and homely layout.

Make use of the kitchen when you're not dining out, perching at the breakfast bar with a coffee and sitting down to the dining table for a romantic home-cooked meal.

Relax on the plush fully reclining sofa before the smart TV in the evening, or relax out on the balcony on a balmy evening, connect to the Bluetooth speaker with a refreshing drink.

Come back from the beach and wash the sand off in the walk-in shower in the shower room, and settle down in the evening in the fabulous bedroom area up in the eaves.

The town of Barmouth has so much to offer by way of attractions, from the classic seaside amusements to the wonderful Barmouth Heritage Trail, taking you around the town to explore all the nooks and crannies and telling the history of Barmouth's part in the woollen, slate and ship-building industries.

Enjoy relaxing on Barmouth Beach, with great waters for swimming and watersports too, you can book a lesson for stand up-paddle boarding and other sports to explore the waters.

Walk to Barmouth Harbour to go on a fantastic boat trip for dolphin watching, seal spotting, and fishing, with scenic views of the coast along the way.

Head into Snowdonia to enjoy walking and hiking, with the Coed y Brenin Forest Park offering woodland trails and a café and visitor centre.

The historic town of Harlech is well-worth a visit and is home to the stunning Harlech Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it commands outstanding views over the town and the sea.
