It was just warm enough for me to swim in the lake, and the apartment balcony leads directly onto the lakeshore. Magical!
The self-contained apartment is very well set up, with a separate bedroom, kitchenette/lounge area and wetroom with a large shower. Both the bedroom and the lounge open onto the covered balcony, with chairs outside so you can enjoy the glorious air and views.
Owner Beatrice is really helpful and very welcoming. There's tea, coffee, milk and biccies to greet you on arrival. We tend to eat main meals in town (can recommend Cafe Cyffnod and Plas yn Dre) and the multi-oven and toaster are more than sufficient for breakfast and light meals.
You can hear some sounds from the other apartments and above, but it's never been intrusive or a problem - and we've stayed in different apartments here for many years!
There's plenty of parking away from the road, zero traffic noise and all the comforts of home. At night, with the window open, the only sounds are the water in the lake, the wind in the trees, and wildlife. It's fabulous.
