Woodland Cottage is perfectly suited for a couple or a small family looking to explore this wonderful part of Wales, with a beautiful base to come back to each evening.

The interior enjoys a wonderful blend of character features and contemporary styling, ensuring a welcoming base that a family of all ages and tastes will enjoy.

After taking in the far-reaching views of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, be welcomed into a well-equipped kitchen, which houses all the essentials to cook up some delicious home-cooked meals.

Upon arrival, you will be delighted to find a wonderful welcome pack to make your stay even more memorable.

Gather your loved ones around the dining table to tuck into your breakfast or dinner and to plan the days ahead.

During the winter months, you will be delighted by the roaring woodburning stove that awaits you within the sitting room, where you can curl up on plush sofas and tune into the TV to catch up on all of your favourite TV programmes.

The elegant styling continues up on the first-floor, where you will find a king-size double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each using the bathroom complete with a bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC.

LLANGOLLEN

Ruthin 15 miles; Chester 25 miles.

The beautiful Vale of Llangollen, with its dramatic mountain backdrop and boulder-strewn River Dee is the setting for this pretty tourist town, internationally famous for its Musical Eisteddfod. Explore the green valley by steam train or canal boat, or take an exhilarating walk up to Castell Dinas Brân, high above the town, in order to enjoy the breathtaking view. Llangollen offers a good range of pubs and restaurants, as well as many interesting shops. Keep entertained with an exhilarating trip whitewater rafting down the River Dee, followed by an adventurous Mountain Bike ride in Llandegla, or for a more leisurely experience, unwind with a relaxing afternoon in one of the local spas! The National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig are within easy driving distance, while a day-long car trail can take you to visit six of the ‘Seven Wonders of Wales’.
