“This is the ideal property to use as a base to explore the magnificent island of Anglesey.”

Everything about the property is superb. The large and homely kitchen is fully equipped with more than enough cutlery, crockery, glassware etc. The large kitchen table is excellent too. The living room and games room are great spaces to relax and have fun. Having both a bathroom and shower room provides great options. All of the beds are very comfortable indeed. The owners, Gareth and Llinos, greeted us and gave us the most wonderful welcome in person, and the welcome basket was ...

The owners, Gareth and Llinos, greeted us and gave us the most wonderful welcome in person, and the welcome basket was incredible (and especially the homemade fudge - thanks again Llinos!). Even lucky enough to see a Red Squirrel having a little visit to the garden. Overall, just a fantastic week - wish it could have been longer! We will most certainly be back in 2025.

“Absolutely fantastic property.”

All amenities catered for, above and beyond any property we've stayed in before and we have been booking through sykes for 7 years. Love that the owner checked in on us as we arrived and left a basket of yummy treats. We had the best week (even though the weather wasn't the kindest) lf we were to return to North Wales in the near future we would definitely look for this property. We loved it!

“Our stay at Bwthyn Clai cottage in Anglesey was nothing short of perfect.”

We were a group of four adults and one 12-year-old, and the experience exceeded all of our expectations. From the start, the communication was excellent. The directions sent via email were clear and easy to follow, ensuring we found the cottage without any hassle. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the lovely hosts, who made us feel right at home. They had thoughtfully provided a large hamper filled with goodies from a local bakery, and the homemade chocolate fudge was absolutely delicious! The fresh flowers in the cottage were a lovely touch, and the flowers in the garden were a burst of color, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The cottage itself was spotless and had everything we could have needed—it truly felt like a home away from home. The owners clearly put a lot of care into ensuring guests have a comfortable stay, providing a very generous selection of toiletries, including every variety of Radox. One of the highlights of our stay was the games room, where we spent most of our time. We had so much fun playing pool that we now consider ourselves professional pool players! The cozy log fire was a real treat, especially on those cold and windy summer days, making the evenings extra special. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful grounds with ample parking, and the outside seating area was a perfect spot to relax after our long walks. While the owners live next door, they give you complete privacy but are always available if you need anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back to this little slice of heaven in Anglesey. Highly recommend!

“This was our second stay and have booked again as we love this cottage; As another person said the photos don't do it justice but then you can't show the kindness and loveliness of the owners, nor can you show how peaceful and serene the surroundings are in a photograph; Yes there is a main road running past but it is easy enough to ignore that as it's not very busy.”

The photos don't show that it is surrounded on all sides by countryside yet it's close enough to walk into Llangefni. It's less then 10 minutes from the A55 so its easy to get to most places on and off the island. The photos also don't show the homeliness of the cottage, if a building could give you a hug as you walk in this one certainly would. It is comfortable and cosy with everything you need and much more. the new benches and tables next to the existing picnic table making a perfect addition. The welcome pack is great and the homemade fudge certainly adds to the uniqueness of this cottage So thanks again Gareth and Llinos for another fantastic stay,

“What an amazing stay at Bwthyn Clai!”

A beautiful property and amazing location. The property had everything we needed and if anything the pictures did not do it justice. From the welcome pack on arrival, attention to detail around the home to a check in with the owners … it became a home from home. The location offers a picturesque escape from the town yet is still only a 10-15 minute walk to the shops, pubs and beyond. The cottage is very spacious, extremely clean and well maintained, very comfortable and a home from home. With its central location it's easy to get to anywhere on the island or north Wales coast. “This was our second visit and we really enjoyed it.”

Took along extra family members this time and they thought it was amazing. There was a lot of talk about what we could do to buy it! Ha,ha. It has everything you want for a self-catering holiday. The pool table, ping pong, football table game are all additional bonuses. It really doesn’t matter what the weather is, the home has a lovely way of making it pleasurable. The garden is lovely, well maintained and a real sun trap. The extra touch of a cake, home-made fudge, fresh flowers and Prosecco for a 60th wedding anniversary celebration was so very kind. I really can’t recommend this home enough. I have shared it with many friends. It is also very close to Asda and other big shops, aswell as numerous takeaways for a nice treat. Good Chinese from The Phoenix and curry from Sara Spice…..both 5min drive away. The Dingle nature reserve is beautiful and a 20min walk away. There is also an art gallery with a lovely cafe and outdoor space for dining up the hill, approx 10min drive.

“Arrived excited and left happy and refreshed!”

Ease of booking and communication with Gareth, providing clear directions, made for a warm welcome and gave us the perfect start to what turned out to be an unforgettable weekend. The house is very well equipped, comfortable and spotless. Even the toilet paper had been hinched! The kitchen provides cupboards and drawers galore and an abundance of useful equipment and crockery for every occasion - afternoon tea, picnics, cooking and baking. The games table was an absolute winner and the laughter it created was priceless. Precious family time spent in beautiful surroundings with wildlife on the doorstep. Sheep, pheasant, songbirds and a nice rural outlook on tap! A weekend is not long enough to take in the beauty of the island so we would love to return for a longer stay. Two unforgettable highlights - Llanddwyn Island and our amazing welcome basket. The fudge was devoured. Sleep is important too and the beds did not disappoint. “Faultless! On arrival we were warmly greeted by Llinos & Gareth ,despite the fact it was after 9 pm, Gareth proceeded to give us a useful guided tour of the bungalow.”

“What a lovely place to stay!”

Bwthyn Clai was fantastic. Very spacious and clean. It’s situated in the middle of Anglesey which meant that we never had too far to drive to explore. Unfortunately we did not get the weather we had hoped for, so the games room saved the day multiple times. The children absolutely loved it and asked if we could live there forever! Gareth and Llinos were fantastic and very helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommended. Also, the chocolate fudge was the best we’ve ever had!!

“Where do we start?”

The moment we pulled into the drive we were wowed! Not sure the pictures do it justice! Stepped inside and fell in love with the home immediately. It was ideal for my parents with being on one level. Had everything you need. Also, the beds were very comfortable, the pillows and duvet were sumptuous. Really enjoyed using the pool table and playing some of the children’s games that we haven’t played for many years. A bonus have Sky sport so “the match” could be watched! We enjoyed sitting in the sun trap of a garden and admiring the beautiful views. It is an idyllic chill out holiday home that we enjoyed so much, that we booked to stay for a week next year! Sadly, we were only there for the weekend on this occasion. Thanks to Gareth & Llinos for being so friendly and the welcome goodies & fresh flowers were a lovely touch.

“We can’t praise it enough!”

!! The welcome hamper was so sweet and the fresh flowers. The home made chocolate fudge was absolutely delicious. My first worry is how clean will this place be where we’re going to stay at but I have no complaints about this cottage at all. All spick and spam. So much essentials were provided that I didn’t need to take anything with us. Having an Asda down the road and a halal takeaway was also really helpful. We were very pleased, it was just beautiful. The family that own this cottage were a very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Thank you guys we loved staying there

“We had a fabulous stay Bwthyn Clai.”

The cottage was gorgeous inside and out, with lots of lovely little touches - from the yummy home made chocolate fudge and welcome pack of local produce to having the everyday essentials to hand (like washing up liquid, foil, kitchen roll - which when are not there you feel like you are packing everything but the kitchen sink for a short stay). We would definitely stay again and most likely for longer as it was so lovely. It would make a lovely bolt hole to stay at if you were not busy out and about too. The children loved it too with the basket of games and of course the table tennis

Positioned in the market town of Llangefni, Anglesey, is Bwthyn Clai, a fabulous, single-storey cottage, Centrally located to explore the whole of the Island.

Enjoying an elevated position with countryside views, whilst a short walk away from a range of amenities, Bwthyn Clai welcomes six guests, offering the ideal base for a family break to North Wales.

Benefit from a lofty private driveway, before entering the property, firstly reaching the kitchen/diner; here you can rustle up delicious meals and dine as a party, eased by a wide range of appliances, along with access to a washing machine.

Continue through to the sitting room where you can relax after a day of adventure, lounging upon the plush seating in front of the TV and woodburning stove.

Enjoy some friendly competition by discovering the conservatory/games room, housing a pool table which converts to both table tennis and table football , before heading outdoors to the rear picnic area, where you can toast to your getaway whilst taking in the breath-taking country views.

When sleep calls, select between three well-appointed bedrooms, including a king-size, a double and a twin, all serviced by a bathroom and a shower room for convenience.

Come morning, prepare for a stroll towards the centre of Llangefni (pavement runs all the way from the property to the centre of Llangefni), before enjoying the local attractions of Oriel Môn art gallery, Golf Mon driving range, Nant Y Pandy nature reserve (The Dingle), and Llyn Cefni Dam.

For beach-goers, Rhosneigr, Traeth Coch, Pentraeth, Llanddwyn, and Traeth Benllech are recommended stop-offs, before visiting one of many attractions dotted across the Isle; popular options include The RSPB reserve at South Stack, Pili Palas Nature World, Plas Newydd House and Gardens, and Anglesey Sea Zoo.

Round-off your break in Holyhead, where you can join the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path, test out your swing at Holyhead Golf Club, or hike through Parc Gwledig Morglawdd Caergybi/ Breakwater Country Park, before returning home for sundowners.

The large market town of Llangefni is built along the banks of the River Cefni and retains many historical buildings, including the Town Hall and the clock tower, which sit alongside shops, bars and restaurants, plus the town also has an art gallery. Llangefni is centrally located on Anglesey, situated only 7 miles from the wonderful beaches at Benllech and Red Wharf Bay, which offer miles of sandy coastline. This area of Anglesey is renowned for its beautiful sunsets, and the nearby beaches are ideal for families with safe, shallow bathing waters.
