“We had a wonderful stay at the cottage.”

I couldn't find a dustpan and brush to use which would've been useful and there was a previous guests food left in the freezer compartment of the fridge which was rather iced up. The location was perfect though and I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The property

In the popular village of Trearddur Bay, on the west coast of Anglesey, this development of self-catering holiday cottages is set in lovely grounds with young trees and an abundance of wildlife. So much planning has gone into Tyn Towyn, and it has been decorated and furnished with a great deal of care.

Each holiday cottage is named in Welsh after the colour of its front door.

Ty Oren, meaning ‘Orange House', is a wonderfully welcoming two-bedroomed cottage.

Full of character, it has vaulted ceilings and timber beams throughout. "One of eight fabulous properties set around a courtyard.

Each cottage is individual with carefully chosen art, great living spaces, and gleaming bathrooms.

A perfect retreat central for Trearddur Bay." Just a few minutes' walk away is one of the prettiest beaches on Anglesey.

There is so much to do in this part of the world - whether you wish to go walking, golfing, bird watching or sailing (or just spend your time relaxing!) you will find it right on your doorstep.

Tyn Towyn is a great base for exploring this pretty corner of North Wales. Note: Guests are not permitted to charge their EVs from the property's electricity supply. To view the other properties at Tyn Towyn, please click here.

About the location

TREARDDUR BAY

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
