“We booked our family pre Christmas get together because some of us were not able to see each other over the festive period.”

How wonderful it was to find the house decorated for Christmas with a large tree, lovely decorations and lights in the conservatory and living room. The Gables is a wonderful house ideal for a family holiday. Good quality fixtures and fittings tastefully installed. A lovely "lived in" feeling that allowed my family to relax and enjoy our stay. Games room is a huge plus, particularly in bad weather, bedrooms were of a good size and comfortable, (all ensuite), and we were able to cook some fabulous meals in the well appointed kitchen. Another advantage was that the house is big enough to get away for a "quiet time" if needed. Living room was large and comfortable. All in all, a good time was had by all despite the appalling weather when storm Darragh showed his hand.

Excellent accommodation for a large group and so convenient for all that Trearddur has to offer and likewise for the facilities at Holyhead retail park. We would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a large group booking. Anglesey has never let us down over many years of visiting. This time we had excellent autumnal weather across the week, including Storm Ashley which made for spectacular viewing in the bay.

“Lovely house .”

Very comfortable beds and setting areas, we use the conservatory in the daytime and lounge in the evenings. All bedrooms being en suite is a bonus with 8 adults staying here. Extremely well equipped kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, glasses and cutlery. We were very lucky with the weather being mid September, so used the sun terrace . The outside space could do with a bit of TLC, but didn’t spoil our enjoyment. Plenty of places to eat , all in walking distance. Lovely walking in the area. Well stocked Spar shop in the village with large supermarkets a short drive away . Excellent holiday , thank you

“We were 9 family members of varying ages and found the property suited all of our needs, particularly the adapted bathroom and ground floor bedroom.”

We all enjoyed the darts and pool table. The kitchen has been very thoughtfully designed, loved the range and the massive island and we were able to set up our own wares in the utility room too. We had an issue with the dishwasher and both owner and agent were very quick to offer a solution which is always a sign of a well looked after property. In all The Gables had all we could want, including less than a 5 min walk to the beach. Would love to return to enjoy summer here,I imagine it's a sun trap!

“This was our second visit to The Gables, it is perfect for our family, very comfortable and near to beaches and restaurants.”

Since last year there is also a good fish and chip shop and pizza restaurant. There is a problem with the toaster, can only toast three slices as the end slot only toasts one side of bread, time consuming with a large family. It looks ancient maybe need a new one. We are also booked in for next May, 2024.

Soap in bathrooms very handy. Excellent games room. Comfortable furniture. It is a pity the terrace and garden area is not accessible from the house. Although the house looked clean,we found dirty glasses and plates in the cupboard and had to give the dishwasher a good clean, also drains in showers need cleaning. Good location handy for beach

Lovely big rooms so 8 adults & 1 toddler never felt crowded. Kitchen very well equipped and spacious. The games room a bonus for family fun. Every bedroom having modern en-suites was great when everyone getting ready at the same time (hot water and pressure not an issue at all). Great balcony with views of countryside and sea although we didn’t use it that often as every day we were out in the glorious sunshine. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants, would recommend The Sea Shanty and Trearddur Bay Hotel. Thanks for sharing your holiday home.

The only (minor) problem we had was in the family room we used the drop-down bed so were unable to use the wardrobes!

It is set in a beautiful location within easy walking to the beach local pubs, shops and cafes. The home has been renovated to a high standard. The beds rooms are large and the beds are very comfy. The heating system is good you don’t need it on much as the house is very warm. The baths are brilliant for a long soak after a long walk. The peace and quiet sat in the conservatory was lovely , but then to go onto the veranda and watch the jets flying over from RAF vally was awesome. “Just perfect “

Spacious, spotless and very welcoming. The kitchen is extremely well equipped (we are a family that likes to cook), and the games room is a great feature, especially on a showery afternoon. The reception rooms are comfortable and gave us plenty of space to relax. A sunny afternoon spent on the roof terrace with a good book was such a bonus. This was our first family trip to Anglesey, and all six of us (adults) had a perfect week split between relaxing at the house and exploring the bays and beaches on the west side of the island. None of us wanted to leave at the end of the week and we have booked for next summer! Thank you

Well worth the money! Our group booking consisted of 12 of us in total from Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside who were all impressed with all the facilities & accommodation in the house. Just like home to home and we all would love to return in the near future Also very pleased with the shops, restaurants, especially the Imperial Palace & The Sea Shanty & of course, the beach all within minutes from the house We also did a few coastal walks. The property

The Gables is a spacious detached holiday house in a slightly elevated position with far reaching views.

It is less than a ten-minute walk from the popular, sheltered main beach at Trearddur Bay. "The owners have holidayed in this area for years and really know what makes the ideal holiday house - you will want for nothing!" Superb family accommodation, with each of the five bedrooms boasting an ensuite, one of which is on the ground floor for anyone who has difficulty with stairs, making it perfect for everyone.

There is also a separate loo and shower by the back door, ideal for tidying up after a day on the beach. With a variety of sitting rooms and the welcome addition of the games room with pool table, table tennis, darts and TV/DVD - you will be spoilt for choice! Trearddur Bay itself is delightful with a long sandy Blue Flag beach and many other delightful coves to explore.

There is a wide variety of watersports are on offer here, as well as golf, horse riding and fishing nearby.

The Anglesey Coastal Footpath is a great way to explore this lovely corner of North Wales.

TREARDDUR BAY

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
