    “To say this wasn't my 1st choice of property due to an electrical fire at my original choice I was thrilled with the cottage.”

    Nicely presented, spacious for 4 adults and a child, exceptionally clean and the little extras made it special. Everything within the cottage is well thought out and having a bathroom on each floor made it so much easier for my father in law who has limited mobility. You can park right outside your front door and although I didn't venture out into the communal garden as it was December, but I can imagine how nice it would be in the summer months with the doors open. Nicely situated with a 5/10 ...

The property

Tyn Towyn is a holiday development of beautifully finished, self catering holiday cottages, on the west coast of Anglesey.

It is just a few minutes' walk from one of the prettiest beaches on Anglesey in Trearddur Bay.

There is so much to do in this part of North Wales - walking along the Coastal Path, sailing, golfing, bird watching or just relaxing - and it's all on your doorstep.

A perfect retreat central for Trearddur Bay." Ty Piws (‘Purple House'), named after the striking colour of its door, is my favourite holiday cottage at Tyn Towyn.

On both sides of the lovely sitting room are large floor-to-ceiling windows which let the sunshine flood in.

The holiday cottage is both modern and cosy, and has been furnished with a great deal of care - from the comfy custom-made sofas to the individual soft furnishings.

About the location

TREARDDUR BAY

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
