“Accommodation described as a cottage, it's not.”
It's more accurately described as an apartment, within a large converted farm building. Yes the term ground floor is used but nowhere does it say there's another apartment above you. The photograph in the description shows the front of the building - the entrance door to Llain Mai is down the side of the building, out of sight, to the right of the view in the photo. Through no fault of their own, we could hear every movement our fellow holiday makers made. Even conversation, though muted, was audible. Laminated flooring transmits every slightest noise. From a walk to the loo at ten past five in the morning to a daily exercise routine (?). Ablutions also. The boiler for the entire building is located within our space. It seemed that every time a tap was turned on somewhere in the building, the boiler erupted into life. Summarising, the place is spotlessly clean, beautiful bathroom, useful kitchen and superbly located - but I'm afraid we would prefer not to stay there again.
Thank you for your feedback, we value all feedback and do use feedback to improve our accommodation, we have added a clarification in the summary that Llain Mai is a ground floor apartment. We have also amended our photos to include a picture of the entrance to Llain Mai, rather than just the wider angle picture of the whole property. In terms of the Boiler noise there is no connection to the Taps within the properties as they are all fed from a pressurised water cylinder, however we had left the heating on winter mode, which we have now changed. In terms of the noise from the upper apartment we will be looking to improve this over the winter Maintenance period.
